So a friend and I started playing the ME3 multiplayer last night. At first we just played a private match, but then decided we would like some squad mates. So I started a public game and added him to it, and we waited for awhile.. but no one ever joined.

On the other hand, there's a Quick Match option but you can't join asa group. The best option I've seen is to join a Quick Match, hope there is an empty slot, and invite your friend. Hopefully he snags the spot before it fills up.

Am I misunderstanding something? Let's talk about the options.

Quick Match - You (and only you) join a match with random people.

Create Public Match - When we do this, should people choosing the Quick Match option be able to join this game, or does "Public" in this case just mean that people on my friends list can join without an invite?

Create Private Match - Assuming this is invite only, as expected.

We'd really like to play with 4 players because we keep failing at Wave 10. It's a little absurd for the game to give you the timed objective of taking out a "high profile target", assigning it to the GIANT ROBOT, and giving two players a minute to take it down, while getting shot at by a bunch of other dudes.

Yeah, they really need to implement a party size option for this so if only one of your friends is online you can still get into a full match together instead of fruitlessly trying to complete a game with only two people. It'd also be nice if they could scale the difficulty relative to the number of people in a match.

Bump... mostly wondering if the "Create Public Match" feature is intended to let random people join, or if that's just for your friends list.

Yeah, searching for games with 1-2 of your friends needs to be a feature. On Xbox live we're already in a party, so why not let us search for games as a party like every other multiplayer game out there does already?

This is really the only complaint I have, since the awesomeness of the multiplayer took me completely by surprise.

I would assume this feature would exist in the main game. It's an important feature that most MP games possess I think. I would be shocked if it didn't come with the retail version

Although having it on the demo would have been pretty sweet. Maybe they couldn't get it implemented in time? I am also curious about this absent feature
