Seriously Bioware, you guys have created a beautiful combat system with ME3, it would be a shame to limit it's multiplayer potential to a mere horde mode. I could imagine a team deathmatch being really fun. Just make it "Cerberus vs Alliance" and slap on some vague exposition about how it's a secret covert battle or whatever, and you've got your story connection right there!
Anyone else down?
My Multiplayer skepticism is gone. Bring on a Team Deathmatch Mode!

need to have either proper FPS controls or really fix cover system. otherwise youll end up stuck between 2 cover areas unable to escape most of the time. then they need to fix the netcode, its horrible atm, then the MP lobby....

Team Deathmatch would be awesome. I want to play any of those Cerberus characters.
If you don't like Team Deathmatch then... don't play it? Theres no downside to adding new OPTIONAL abilities that others can enjoy.

If you want PvP I also hope you enjoy being killed behind cover by infiltrators while unable to fight back. they need to balance weapons a lot before even thinking about it. it could be like L4D I suppose, but I would not like to control the hoard, thats boring, since I dont get to use my upgrades/class/weapons etc.

I dont want PvP, but I would like a different co-op experience and not just horde. Quest based missions set before the singleplayer storyline would be fantastic.

Biotic powers would make it interesting for sure if they were nerfed enough.
Lift power lets you jump around, reach high ground and so on.
pull and throw could be used for lots of things. Throwing containers and stuff at enemies, throwing incoming enemy grenades warps and overloads away from you, pushing people out of cover, clearing smoke screens.
Powers like warp and throw could have a special cool down mechanic where it recharges constantly and a full charge can let you use the powers a certain number of times at will. The balance would be that it has no aim assist, so you'd have to target everyone manually.
Singularity is incredibly over powered for PVP, I don't see how it can balanced for it.
Invisibility might need a hard counter power though. Something which prevent everyone from going infiltrator all of the time.

i actually like the idea of TDM in this game. I think the cover-based pvp combat worked well in the gears of war series, so there isn't really any reason that it wouldn't work in ME3 in that respect that i can think of... (im playing ME3 on xbox btw)
only thing is yeah cloaking characters etc would be pretty difficult to counter in cover-based combat. food for thought though

I really like PVP but that would be just impossible. The way the powers are set you could basically keep someone stunned/floating/on the ground until they die.
And if you nerf the biotics then they would be useless in PVP, as that's pretty much all they do.

No Op plus Bioware has already said that PVP is not what they were going for in MP and No co op is fine and better anyway

So does it look like as detailed as Unreal Tournament?

Put some MP screenshots. I might be interested.

even though its a interesting idea. No. because i agree with what bioware has said, it'd be impossible to "Balance" the classes. as a vanguard player.....you'd be dead before you even moved an inch.

No. That would just make ME3's multiplayer another GoW or a 3PS CoD.

Just going to echo the sentiment here: NO.
A large part of why the multilayer is good is because of the fact that it's not versus.

The only way would be to scrap classes.
Therefore, I say no.

ME 3 multiplayer is very much like Killing Floor multiplayer and Killing Floor doesn't have PvP and the creators of KF said it wouldn't work out...so I think it'd be the same for ME 3.

Lol @ phags who don't want pvp, what will it take away from the game, you brag that insanity is too easy but don't want to get destroyed online.

This. I'm already sick of playing against ai's and outscoring teammates by 20k every match. Bring on a real challenge and let us play against other players. Just implement a button mash or some kind of randomized button sequence to break disables and you have one of the greatest pvp experiences in the history of gaming.
