After playing the demo, I suspect that these 'DLC' things attached to other items are in fact just 'Packs' of Items/Equipment/Upgrades for Multiplayer, like the Recruit and Veteran packs, without the need to spend credits. Therefore they're just a random bunch of upgrades, most of them single-use.
Evidently some of them guarantee particular weapons. Whether or not those weapons can also be picked up randomly is the real question.
I wish people would stop and consider this. Really you guys - buy all this crap and you're likely to have no MP worth playing with all your EXP unlocks. I cancled half my orders for the Figures when I put it together - keeping Set 2 cause Legion/Mordin/Garrus is worth having anyway.

Unless they're not able to actually produce the thing because I read something about an injunction to stop production on them.

You have to play and complete the demo to get both dlc items (and make sure its linked to you origin account)TLK Spires wrote...
when it says 'play demo', does that mean clear it, or just fire it up? (im referring to kingdoms of the alamo or whatever)

Play it for 45 minutes once it tells you to, and you'll get everything. You could just let it sit there if you wanted.

but I think I might just only get the mouse in addition to my N7 Edition of the game.
and depending on what it is I might just also get From Dust. whenever I figure out what is it.

If you have to have all of that junk, then be my guest. But I still don't understand how BioWare offering choices to the consumer makes them evil. If you don't want it, don't buy it. It really is just that simple.
I agree with you. I just wonder what is the true intrinsic value of all this? Would any of this have any appreciation (in value that is) 10 years down the road? And please don't get me wrong, I loved the demo and I'm looking forward to the full game. But, wow, that's a crazy amount of money for people who are die hard collectors.

If it turns out the DLC for multiplayer is something that can be acquired in game, who cares?

With all the multiplayer DLC I am still curious to wait and see what exactly they are, the only things I've ordered are what I want, the art book(very nice btw just received it yesterday) and the vault. I will also probably buy another copy of mass effect 3 on PC(already ordered on 360) simply because I have ME1 and 2 on PC as well(Something about PC I enjoy, something about 360 I enjoy.)

If you play the MP demo, you know what they are. They are just more expensive upgrade packs. So you get to have them without having to play for awhile and earn enough credits to buy them in-game.
I've been saying this what they would be for a month or more. The desceription on the Bioware store makes it sounds like exactly what it turned out to be.

Actually I believe they were saying all the guns were available in ME3 even if you didnt have the DLC for it in ME2Zanallen wrote...
Don't forget that some guns are only available if you have ME2 and the DLC for that.

Forgot to mention, a message pops up about 25minutes through the 45minute freeroam mode (after you complete the tutorial level) and it pauses the timer until you click the message away..TLK Spires wrote...
