 Hey guys, just wanted some feedback on the type of names are people using in multiplayer for their character. Like are people doing real names, screennames, fictional names, etc.?

I've played two characters so far. I came up with some fictional names, my male solider is named "Travis" and my female vanguard is named "Lisa"

Been using 'proper' character names myself, not like screen names or anything like that, as word is MP characters can be imported into SP as assets of some kind. Guess it doesn't really matter for the demo as it doesn't carry over apparently but it gives me the opportunity to think up some decent names and note them down for when the time comes.

In MP, your character's name doesn't appear, just your gamertag. So the character name is for when you import the character to GaW, I'm guessing.

I'm trying to choose race and gender-appropriate names for my characters just to keep the proper feel for when I import them into SP.

What is the point in naming them if only you can see the names?

I called my Asari Adept Wooooo just because I couldn't believe I'd finally unlocked another character after spending 200k on crates

I name mine... I try and go with names that would fit each race.

For example I saw Thane, among other meanings is a city in india. So my Drell Vanguard also has a name from an Indian City.
My Asari Adept had a name that meant Beauty in some language or another.

i didn't bother giving any of them names but since i have to I just gave them all numbers instead, saves me having to think of some cool ones for each character. Once the actual game comes out i'll probably think of a few for them

Let me see, my Krogan soldier is named Brav0 and my Adept is called BravO. It took quite a few hours to come up with those names.

I named my male Soldier G. Neric.

Asari Adept - Fanservice
Female Infiltrator - Shadow
Quarian Engineer - Bosh'tet

As you can see... I take names very seriously. Though Cannonball and Shadow will make it into the full game.

For my Krogan, I used my last name as the clan name and my initials to make the Krogans real name.

I'm a writer so I name characters after my story characters. Vincent Glass, Malcolm Corvus, Victor Black-Book, Briar Thorn, and Raven Drake.  I'll eventually name one after my screen name here, because that's also a story character I have.

For the demo though, I just do troll names. My characters so far are:

Drell Vanguard: Torgo
Female Infiltrator: Penny [my Chihuahua.]

I've just been a total nerd and given names that seem appropriate for each race.

Quarian: Rayla'Var
Turian: Vilkas
Salarian: Samos
Drell: Krass

(Bonus points for spotting some references in there)

I called my quarian 'Keel'a sali' No idea if that spelling is right.
I know it is weird but it is the first thing that comes to mind
