And I'm not talking about Conrad Verner or some other equally pointless character.

We already know from the demo that Anderson has quit his council position that we appointed him (if we chose to do so). So that's one choice that seemed extremely important at the time that has effectively been made pointless because of some novel. Or what about the Krogan? You have the option in ME2 to talk Mordin into possibly curing the them one day. I'm not sure what's going on during the second half of the demo, but if seems like it may play out like it will regardless of Mordin's side mission in ME2.

Or the Rachni? I hope he was wrong, but they show up regardless of your deceision to kill the queen or not according to another poster. And I have a feeling that other decisions like destroying the Heretics (or brainwashing them) will be of little impact on ME3, or whether you tried to talk the Quarians out of war with the Geth, etc.

I'm not looking for major spoilers. I guess I just want somebody to alleviate my fears. I had originally thought (hoped) that you could lose to the Reapers in ME3 depending on your poor decisions in the prior games. What I don't want are a few throw-away lines to differenciate your choices.

ME 2 decisions will matter about as much as the ME 1 decisions mattered in ME 2.

About the Anderson one, I think it was a 2 part decision. Like if you pick Anderson you can get reinstated as a spectre in ME2 and if you are a spectre in ME3 the council will probably help you out more.

Cameo appearances. BTW apparently my account disappeared with the recent downtime and when I went to log in, it gave my old e-mail address which the EA servers absolutely refused to change. So I found this one lurking on the EA servers from back when I registered BF 1942 that I'd completely forgotten about. e-mail is still active so... here I am.. BTW Sh0tgun Julia here. Same person, different profile.

Old profile no longer active because I changed ISPs. Thank you EA for making it so difficult to change an e-mail address and password. I went through this with XBox Live recently too, and it turned out to be browser compatibility.

I was disappointed to see a lot of these things as well. I really thought those kinds of choice would have a larger impact - like saving the Council in ME1 fostering new feelings of cooperation, or allowing the return of the Rachni in order to have more allies in the end. But it seems like those were fairly arbitrary beyond a few extra dialogue options.

My monies on Bio having pulled the oldest trick in the book with conrad. Everyone has completely dismissed him. I bet we will see some side quest with him doing something significant and he ends up a hero. Afterwards, speaking with him he'll say something about how he always wished to be a hero like Shepard but after the things he had to go through and seeing so many people die he wishes he wasn't and it'll all be very heartfelt and poignant.

Well, I think that these decisions will have impact on the story.

that would be the biggest dissapointment ever, i tough the whole reason of not having them have too much impact on me2 was to ceep it possible to make big differences in me3

Dont hold your breath, most decision will have superficial consequences.
