Well, the title is probably going to be enough - the very idea of having three functions that can be used at the same time or in very short succession of one another, on the same button, is utterly idiotic. The only thing it does is really create frustration, and to be very frank, over-simplifies and breaks the game mechanic. Spreading these three, very essential (all three of them) functions, across three separate button (or, at the *very* least, giving us the opportunity as users to separate them), would not make the game any less enjoyable - but au contraire, the very opposite.

After having played just an hour, there have been dozens of times where the game has not done the intended of the three functions when I pressed the button, and as I never know what the spacebar will do anymore, I want nothing less than to separate them into three different buttons.

Therefore - I beg you on my bare knees - don't let a trivial issue like this ruin such a great game, separate the three options/keys.

(Ironic note; the three were separate in ME, became 2 keys (use on one key and storm/cover on one) in ME2 and now it's down to a single key - is it going to end with one button does it all? Don't over-simplifiy, it's killing gaming.)

Tbh, I'll be happy as larry if they just change it back to ME2 (Use on one key, storm/cover on another). The amount of times I've tried to use an objective and covered instead or tried to cover and ended up dieing because its tried to use an objective is just ridicolous.

Is the reason behind this idiocy because of console controller limitations?

The amount of times I wanted to sprint away from enemies but in stead enter cover on some random thing (all the while getting shot full of holes) is extremely frustrating.

I mean seriously why have a SINGLE button for three separate and game critical commands simply boggles the mind, and then go one step further and not give the player the option to remap them.

Would it be to much to ask to get the option for a classic ME1 control setup that would be great.

I wouldn't doubt this is due to consoles. I've always found the mass effect series amazingly enjoyable despite it feeling so much like a console port. The only thing they really need to fix and I'll be happy is the controls. Not only is the 3 actions for one button thing annoying, there always seems to be some weird issue or bug with key bindings. IIRC In ME2, the control hud key was basically forced to be bound to a single key and it annoyed me to no end.

Oh and FOV. Please god let us change the FOV in retail.
