On Halestrom they sent in wihat 12-20 marines + a science team only Reager and Tali got out alive. i went in with Shep, Garrus, and Miranda tore through the geth group that wiped out the quarian special forces got the survivors out alive and with no casualties from my much smaller team.
Then theres the Alerai. From what i recall they tried to retake the ship a few times with a few squads of troops and failed spectacularly against patchwork geth. Shep went in with Tali and Garrus cut a swath and was in and out in apparently a few hours game time but i swear it didnt take me but 30 min real time if that.
Looking at that score card i have to wonder if the quarians are really just that stupid. Or am i missing someting? like i said seems like their tryin to be the big dog but in reality arnt all that big.

I, for one, have always seen the Quarian fleet as kind of like Pirates, to be honest. They float around, they don't have a home planet (over things I think were their fault to begin with), they're a rag-dag group of vagrant ships. The fact that they have Dreadnought-scale weaponry (potentially) gives me all the more reason to choose the Geth if it comes down to it. Deal with the Quarians, get those weapon plans or whatever, gloat to the Geth for political/strategic gain for the war effort, move on. Not like you'd lose much, what have they got to offer really? Weak immune systems, limited numbers, weak fleet.
If you used some brain power... the migrant fleet is the largest fleet in the galaxy excepting possibly the Geth fleet. They are excellent Engineers and have had three hundred years to build it.
300 years is like what, half an Asari lifetime or something? (I'm abit rusty, I havent played through ME in a while) That doesn't seem that long. You said yourself the geth fleet is bigger. And machines are certainly better engineers, especially with the sentient nature Legion showed. The geth have shown more diplomacy, more willingness to negotiate and way way more competence in an actual war. Every time we see the Quarians in battle, they're getting bashed by Geth. Geth literally ran them off their own planet from the inside out, through the Quarians own error. On-site platform repair far outweights 6 fragile Quarians in suits that bust standing around a Mech (an atlas or something) with welding guns.

Totally missed the point. While the Geth are most likely bigger fleet wise, The Quarian Migrant fleet is nothing to sneeze at.

If it was destroyed I have very little doubt that the Systems Alliance would be poltically savvy enough and militarily sophisticated to waste no time in befriending the Migrant Fleet. And doing nothingless than offering them a seat at the table. The Alliance Fifth Fleet may be formidable, but its no match for the number of warships in the Migrant Fleet. The Alliance could supply the ground forces in the new Allied Citadel Defense, while the quarians supply the numbers and personel for the fleets.
The Council Races like to continously blame the quarians for everything that the geth do.But that dog won't hunt anymore. At some point the Council has to take resposibilty for thier inaction during the Morning War.

Anyone notice how close the Quarians are to "Iran", so many polticial and cultural similarities if you think about it.
Aside from the Council trying to stop them from getting drednaught weapons; there are no similarities.

Iran also invaded the American embassy in Iran and took hostages. Considering that Embassies are considered the territory of that nation, an attack on an embassy amounts to an attack on that nation.
Their leaders also have openly stated that they are seeking to wipe Israel off the map. Regardless of what you think of Israel, that is a hostile stance.
The quarians, on the other hand, simply mine asteroids, and get threatened with orbital bombardment when they try to settle a new homeworld. If anything, it appears that the Council is afraid that the Quarians will actually be able to hold a world of their own.
