The Council races are the bullies of the galaxy. So the Quarians now allegedly have WMDs. Be glad. We're going to need them.

Question? When do I get to blow up the council again?

A few junk heaps?

The Quarians have the largest fleet in the galaxy.  Your ships don't have to be in tip top shape if you have that many.  Slap some Thanix cannons on some and you've got yourself a Reaper killing machine!

Well the image of the Migrant Fleet going 1v1 with Blue Sun Mercs and coming out on top is an awesome image in itself.. Then their response to the council basically being a giant middle-finger makes me question my initial bad thoughts on Quarians..

Ok since the link doesn't work for me why is the Alliance trying to board them again? Those ships don't belong to them and since the ships are the equivalent to their homes the Alliance can't just fly up to them and say you must let us in. Unless the Quarian ship is applying for asylum and wants to be under Earth's protection ( you know don't land it just have it keep a never ending holding pattern in Earth's orbit) then there is no reason for the Alliance to search, inspect, or otherwise the ship in question this is very odd.

Migrant Fleet refuses Council inspectors

by Diana Allers

CITADEL — Diplomatic relations between the quarians and Citadel Council have chilled after the Migrant Fleet refused to consider visitation by Council weapons inspectors.

The move comes several months after the Migrant Fleet allegedly acquired dual-use ship materials, which could be used to create dreadnought-scale weaponry.

The allegations leveled by unnamed Spectres center around a battle over the Terminus world of Korlus. In a violent dispute, the Migrant Fleet fought Blue Suns mercenaries and when the fighting was done, took its fill of starship parts on or orbiting the planet.

Quarian representatives have so far been unapologetic.

“We have no embassy on the Citadel, and are no longer signatories to the Treaty of Farixen,” Admiral Han’Gerrel vas Neema said. “Our armaments are none of the Council’s business. Further, these worries are unfounded. We have never had, nor do we plan to have, hostile intent to Council species.”

Public reaction in Council space is vehement.

“The Migrant Fleet has always lived on the edge of criminality,” popular blogger Feyro Derlan said. “But adding an axial gun to a liveship that’s who-knows-how-many kilometers long? That’s not a cause for worry, that’s terror worth soiling your pants over.”

Important things to take way form this article are:

1) The Blue Suns apparently had access to at least the components to build these weapons for years and the Council didn't particularly care.

2) Diana Allers is a hack.

I just imagined a Quarian Ship(you know, with the huge sphere) with a Thanix cannon attached to every possible place.

...Thank you. That was funny.

That's because Citadel Council has a thing against Quarians, just do to creation of Geth.

Quarians are pretty much Iran in this game. Contrary top popular opinion in the West, Iran has not actually invaded or gone to war with that many nations. And the whole hoopla regarding its aggressive stance: that is pretty much reserved for people who treat them like ****. Even then, they haven't actually done anything.

Come to think of it, it fits them even more. There are just as many misconceptions about IRan in the West as there are about Quarians in the ME universe...

Bioware, please don't push that stupid reporter on me before I even play ME 3.

I'd be less irritated if she wasn't voiced/looked like that absolutely ridiculous Chobot woman.

Why does that irritate you?

Quarians, if you're gearing yourselves up for anything other than an almighty galactic-wide beat down on a certain ancient race of robotic-space-kraken, harsh words may have to be used.

Also where the hell has Emily Wong gotten to?!

The thing is that if the Quarians are going to try and take back their homeworld, the Geth are not going to make a distinction between civilian and military ships. Same with the Reapers. I have no problem with this tactic in these insane times.

Actually I cannot wait to get Tali back on board the Normandy, unless she's there already. And no, none of my characters romanced her. I want to know how the Citadel works. And I want to see Kal Reegar again.

No, Quarians are not "pretty much Iran" and that's actually "pretty insulting" toward Iranians.
