Forgot to mention this earlier but Stasis doesn't increase damage on target. You do about half damage to anything in a stasis. The 150% mark you see is increasing how much damage Stasis can take before it depletes early.
Basically when you shoot a target in stasis, your harming them 'and' the stasis effect, more you shoot it - the faster it'll go away. It's basically 150% to stasis health. Rank 6 can increase damage taken by 50% but that's basically going from the 50% to 75%.
Ultimately your doing less damage but there stationary so its 'easier'.
Infiltrator is always just straight +dmg%, nothing they do that cuts away from it. Not to say stasis isn't amazing, it is, it also makes dealing with Phantoms a breeze which is the main reason I love having it around.
This gameplay is so weird!

haven't tried stasis so I wouldn't know. I don't really use energy drain to make
things stand still anyway, because I don't need it. I use it soley for
removing barriers. If you want things to stand still for aiming then
that's fine, but after some practise I believe you don't need things to
stand still any longer and you would probably prefer an ability that
does something else.

LV18 Engineer armed with either a Tempest III and Predator III, or a Mattock IV and Predator III.
The amount of times I get MVP from assists alone is getting ridiculous.
My combat doctrine is pretty much:
Troopers: Anything goes, cooperate with team to flank
Guardians: Drone to distract, then hit 'em with an Incinerate Blast
Sentinels, Turrets, Engineers, Nemesis: Overload to take out shields, Incinerate for armour/health
Phantoms: Maintain distance, Overload Barrier, spam Predator or Mattock alongside Attack Drone
ATLAS Mech: Overload shields with suppressive weapon spam included, Incinerate/Mattock armour. Teamwork also necessary. Alternative: Rocket.
