I remember when I first tried out the Avenger and it seemed a lot slower than it was in ME2. Then I got it up to level 5. It seems almost as fast as it was in ME2. Correct me if I'm wrong about this.
Is it just me or do weapons get faster as you upgrade them?

Yes. Ammo capacity as well goes up, along with various other attributes.

I haven't noticed a speed increase, but i've not got any guns up to level 5 yet, i'll keep an eye on it!

Yeah, right now I'm not notcing a huge difference between the katana and scimitar but probably at level 10, the katana will destroy basic enemies in one shot on silver and the scimitar will fire as fast as the mattock.
