Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit ridiculous to have to spend credits to make cosmetic changes to your character?

Colors and Genders are especially ridiculous; these visual traits have no effect on gameplay, so why should I have to spend credits to unlock them? I think that all of the color customization and gender options should be available from the get-go, don't you think? Besides that, it's very annoying that the means to unlock these options are RANDOM; I bought a dozen Recruit Packs, and I still can't change the color of the Lights on my Soldier's armor, nor play as a female soldier, even though it's pretty much the only class I've been playing as. For some reason I unlocked all the customization options for the Female Infiltrator, even though I haven't even played as a Female Infiltrator (and of course, the Male option is not available...

Is this how it's going to be in the final game? I seriously hope, because this is really stupid. Also, you should be able to save up credits and specifically choose which weapons and upgrades you want to buy, not just obtain them at random.

I agree I really want to buy Mass effect 3, but with the online pass and these retarded random packages I am finding it incredibly hard to justify. I've purchased over 30 veteran packs without unlocking a single new race. Im not going to waste my time playing as a character I don't like. So unless there are majors changes from now till release Im just gonna play the campaign on my friends game and save myself $60 and 400 hours trying to unlock the basic character I want to play

They know if they unlocked every race then no one would give a damn about the human race.

Agreed. I seem to recall seeing a multiplayer beta leak that shows both human genders.

OP - I agree with you a 100%, I started with a Vanguard and only 1 primary color and after buying tonus of packs I can't get any customization options, but the 1st time i roll a soldier up and buy the recruit pack it "unlocks" the female vanguard and gives a color customization.

I really hope the other races don't unlock randomly like this...
