i need 3 flasks of venom, for a side quest in lothering: do i collect this, or do i have to make it ?  i have 2 venom in my inventory;  i also need 3 spring traps, for another lothering side quest: do i make these or collect them, or what ?  i learned poison using ability points, and had allistair learn trap making. thanks

The traps and venom are both basic tier 1 ability, since you have assec to both skills you can make them, first go wild and look for few spiders they drop Toxin extract for venom, then go back to the inn buy some flasks and you can now make 3 venom flask.



The same guy who accepts venom also sell infinite amount of Trap trigger's, you can use those to make Spring traps and there you go.
