This is now the most important thread we have. It's a huge counterpoint to all the negative feedback we've seen popping up.
Didn't say it wasn't.

Let's admit it. We all thought that Kaidan would have died WAY more times.
Actually, it's a few points higher than I'd guessed.

He survived my main playthrough because I'm going for a relatively tragic style. He started a romance with Ash but lost her to Virmire. That and it's easy to explain away in-game since Kaidan is by the bomb and such.
Ash is actually one of my preferred romance options, but I couldn't resist le drama! of it all this time.
Yeah, I felt that it was explained in my game because I felt like I needed to backtrack and make sure the bomb went off.

Okay then, it just feels like some are using this as an excuse to try to invalidate any dissenting opinion.izmirtheastarach wrote...

There are so many negative threads. It paints a misleading picture about what the reaction really is. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it's nice to see positive discussion as well.

Maybe, if the complaints are in the vast minority it can be chalked up to nit-picking and hyperbole.
Mainly this debunks those who post as if their position is in the majority.
Tells Bioware they're doing something right, since obviously they can't and never will be able to please everybody.
I'm sure Bioware is going to do what it's done in the past, pick some of the complaints to listen to and do something about it and ignore what they think is silly.

not sure, i think it would be cool to see what everyone has done leading up to ME3 and what thier imported saves will look like.
It would also be really cool to see what everyone does hafter launch.
and it would be cool to get views and opinions on the lore and universe as a whole.

Apparently, the people who disliked the demo are much more vocal about their opinions than those who liked it.
And as a personal sidenote: I liked the demo, even if it wasn't perfect.

Personally, I've got to say I very much love the results overall. The music is indeed amazing, Mass Effect is a PC-born franchise and it's so popular because it told us an amazing story in a deeply compelling fashion - that's basically how I feel and what I read from the results.
What bothered me - in fact still does - is the new significantly more console-ish combat style - yes, I'm talking about the GOW-style humping-jumping around of course. It jiust doesn't feel like it belongs into Mass Effect. ME combat should be slower, more tactical, less twitchy - it's an RPG, not an FPS after all.
Despite of that I'm still very much looking forward to the full release.

I'd give the demo 4/5 if you ask me. Many things were gone thanks to cutting it down below 2 GBs. Too bad.

Mass Effect is not exactly a PC born franchise though, is it? Just sayin', I'm not trying to start an argument.
You're right of course, that's just my very personal perception.

Different standards, not lower. People were looking for different things in the game then you were, and they got them.

It's actually " Console Born" first released on the Xbox 360 and it's not a RPG it's an entirely new Genre of game a RPG/TPS hybrid some would say.
