This proves 3 things:
1) people hate Kaiden
2) some people are just malcontents who get a perverse sense of elitism from hating everything.
3) engineers are the lonesome kicker of the ME class system. They even have a special shoe and a helmet w one bar
I hate Kaiden.

Here's to hoping that the ME3 importing process can faithfully preserve our ME1 Shepard's without turning them into abominations.

And so destroys the one time I was going to let Ash live past Virmire.

Yes, I wondered about that as well. In part, I think the improved facial graphics gave the impression other textures looked worse.Hallonglass wrote...
Very surprising that so many people played the game on PC, yet so many gave high scores for the graphics.

Kaidan survived because I was roleplaying a military man. He's an officer with Biotics, and Ash is a grunt with no special skills.
He survived my main playthrough because I'm going for a relatively tragic style. He started a romance with Ash but lost her to Virmire. That and it's easy to explain away in-game since Kaidan is by the bomb and such.
Ash is actually one of my preferred romance options, but I couldn't resist le drama! of it all this time.
~But thats just my opinion, no need to go spreading it around.

Feel ya there mate. When tryying to re-create my Shep, I ended up creating a pasty Frank West. . . At least Shep has covered wars you know. I'm willing to lay down money that the import function wont let us down anyways so no fear here.-Skorpious- wrote...
I didn't like the CC since I could not for the life of me recreate my Shepard.

This is now the most important thread we have. It's a huge counterpoint to all the negative feedback we've seen popping up.
Overall: 76%
Gameplay: 82%
I dunno about you but that's not what I expect from Mass Effect. Even if there are some trolls who gave the game 1 or 2, but those are countered by the fans who give 10 without even playing the demo or forgiving all flaws because it's Mass Effect. Look at Steam or Live Marketplace to see how inflated scores are, every AAA game automatically seems to get 5 stars even before being released.
If you thought the game will have Dragon Age 2 level scores then you must have really exaggerated the negative feedback. This demo strikes me negatively but no way near Dragon Age 2s abysmality (that would deserve something between 40% and 50%). Mass Effect 3 is IMO on par with Toy Story 3, Stranglehold and Condemned, and that's definitely not what I'm expecting from Mass Effect finale.

The difference with rating websites are that the scores are inflated. Sometimes by 10%-20% or so. Considering that this poll is "stand alone" and not comparative, as it would have been if it was in such a website, there's no danger of inflation here. 50% is the average, and everything over that is beyond average. That is not true at all for sites such as metacritic. 50% is well below average for them.kalle90 wrote...

Uh. The professional review scores are inflated before they even reach those websites. Let's not even get to what happens after that.tetrisblock4x1 wrote...
That 76% is a big decline compared to what ME2 got on metacritic and gametrailers. It's a 20% drop, and I doubt EA would be satisfied if the full version of ME3 got less than 90% and 5,000,000 sales.
EDIT: GTA IV has a 75% user score, and that's not counting inflation.

Uh, no it doesn't? Where did you even get that from?frylock23 wrote...
Not surprising. Most of negative feedback centers on the story
Of course. I won't ask people to review very small parts of the story, which sometimes are out of context, or butchered. Especially Sur'Kesh.and I don't see anything about that.

No, it likely proves that most of the people playing this demo are male, not necessarily that they hate Kaidan.

So the answers to question 12 show that including "Story" and "Action" mode was a waste of time. I hope it was not a big part of the time they had.

That actually raises a good point. Sometimes I'll still prefer doing the hardest setting for the combat thrill, but if you're just planning to see the potential consequences, story mode may not be this evil creature that must never be touched. That's what action mode is for. Buh dum ch.It seems like it was, though when people try to do multiple ME3 playthroughs, that may change.

The point is not to invalidate any negative observations or votes, its just hard to take them seriously when you consider the brand of negativity after seeing the threads that have been popping up.
