Dear Bioware,
In the PC version the universal button is very frustrating to deal with. I constantly find myself rolling when I want to stand or standing when I want to roll. I also find myself rolling instead of running.
Would it be possible in the final realease to allow PC Gamers to separate these functions?
Sincerely,
A dedicated PC fan!

I am a console gamer, but I approve.
I can only imagine how bad it is to play the ME3 mechanics with a keyboard.

I concur. I have pretty much adapted to the new style but it should definitely be an option at the very least.

Yeah, trying to sprint away from the grenade close to a cover place or randomly rolling out of cover instead of just popping out has killed me a few times

Indeed, I have found that more often then not the universal space bar makes the game play experience more akin to a button mashing fighter, where you hope that the commands do what you intend as opposed the precise controls you expect from an fps style experience.

Yeah a controller hang over... when the game doesn't even support them. What's that about!

As a gamer that plays on both console and PC i concur. Only sprint needs to be separated out though imo. But the more options, with this stuff, the better. It'd also be really nice if sprint wasn't on the same button on the consoles. L3 seams like a good choice to me. with the 90 cover slip going to R3 or, although i suspect it'd be a little more complex to get working, the cover slip could be another context sensitive X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox) button action. And then R3 could change the shoulder you aim over, which is always useful.

Having Shepard roll out into the open instead of jumping to the next cover is extremely annoying.

Yes Use, cover, and sprint needs to be separated. Use should be bound to E and Cover to Q sprint is fine as the space since in most game it is jump. Squad mate are not in Multiplayer and can be moved to Z and C. F Should be Chat for Coop Multiplayer since it is next to movement keys. The object for PC / Keyboard players we need buttons that allows us to use the area to most efficient means necessary.

Doesn´t matter which key does what, since you can always reasign them. Just as long the differnet functions are seprated. For me ideal would be: Use = E, Sprint = Shift, Roll = doubletap Shift, cover = Space.

The devs do not care, so it isn't going to happen. There were many requests - use different buttons for skipping dialogs and choosing answer in dialog, assigning different keys for Use, Sprint, Cover, etc for ME2, or for implementation in ME3. Look what we have now.

Yes!! agreed +1 to change !.. and can we have a duck button ? you know the one in ME1 where you could crouch anywhere and use objects between yourself and the enemy to obstruct the fire instead of standing out in the open looking stupid
But I guess they cant do that since AI fire is scripted and it would take too much work to script obstructions outside the cover system

Yes, and adding on to this - Skip Conversation/Select Conversation options should not be binded to the same buttons too.

It's close to ridiculous we even have to ask for this... I could've sworn I saw something about this subject in the confirmed features thread a long time ago. Something about actions like sprinting, rolling, taking cover being bound to different keys for the pc.
So yeah, fix it BioWare...
