Please do stay away from silver and gold

I just lost some great equipment because i dropped into a lobby full of below10's that didnt even managed to survive the first wave and i start to get tired of dragging you through higher difficulties..

Thanks

I don't put equipment on until I'm in the lobby and see who I'm playing with. And it's not always their fault the default match making option is any difficulty so when they first start chances are they over looked that.

Sorry, but I don't think it's fair to pidgeonhole others for your misfortunes. A lot of the time, I think, lower level players don't understand the quick match, or the ability to choose your level. I've been tossed into silver matches against my wishes. If you're tired of 'dragging others' through matches from time to time, then that's a bit sad. People learn quickly, like I did, when I got put into a difficult level. I was aware, acutely, that I was dead weight. If that has to come at the expense of some equipment for a higher level player, then oh well. As a level 16 Vanguard, I've had to experience others doing to me what I naively did to others, and lost stuff as a result. But, we're a community. The little ones will learn. There's no point in whining about it on the forums.

IF you are tossed into silver against your wish then you just didnt click "bronze"

I also do not mind having a lowlevel around, unless he rushes head on into a bunch of turrets, guardians, ATLAS, centurions, again and again and so forth....

It gets very tiresome how (especially you vanguards, so far only2 had been of use at all) some just dont seem to grasp tactics, like sticking together and concentrate fire....

Oh. Lol. Then I apologize for 'us vanguards' being so useless to you. Thread validated. Completely.

PC
Origin: LadyAlekto

And i need equipment mostly because of others, had a nice team yesterday where i didnt even needed to pull my pistol, but i begin to think that becomes rarer and rarer, i do not even want to think how gold will be without some good gamer

*edit*
And just right now i had a match with some nice player, 2 just above 10 and one 18 infiltrator, great match, i didnt had to think for my teammates as well

Oh sorry i am only mediocre if it comes to that, my reflexes slowed down from my pro-times as well that i miss sometimes and take for my taste way to long to react to an enemy, i am way harsher on myself and my skills than on everyone else, but if i find a dozen lobbys where the max levels are 5-6 while i try a silver run, then sorry, then i will be harsh on others

And i cant be always in the mood to give them the benefit of a doubt

But that is what I do :o

I hog all the exp and kill everything, I do stay the **** away of turrets and ATLAS, but other crap? I can handle that.

Vanguards are build for close combat ownage, if a vanguard stays down and does nothing then he is dead weight.

Know what's funny, OP? If you communicate with your team through voice chat, you can vastly improve your chances of survival. I did just that today in a Silver match, and won with a team of very inexperienced players. So long as you remain polite to them, and give them whatever tips you have to give, I guarantee they will respond with competency. The biggest thing a new player lacks is direction. Give them that, and even a level 1 can be a force multiplier.

It's a strange phenomenon that hyper competitiveness and frustration creates in cooperative endeavors. You say that newbies are too inexperienced to play with, yet how will they ever learn to excel otherwise? I suppose you could tell them to go straight to Bronze and practice, but then they'll likely get stuck with other low levels, and have just as hard a time. I agree that Gold should be avoided like the plague, since not even a level 20 has an easy time of it. And yes, Silver is more difficult with a few lowbies. But it IS doable. Even if you have to sacrifice time and time again to bring them up to speed, all you lose is time.

A multiplayer game's longevity depends upon a strong, cohesive community. Raging at low levels or being snarky with them only gives them reason to quit. Too many quit, and the community suffers.

TL;DR - Show some compassion. Not everyone knows their way around the game or its matchmaking system yet, nor do they all know where to begin or how to play like a pro. If you can, help them get better. We all have to start from the bottom at some point. Never forget where you came from.

well when you join a silver game and you've got 3 lvl 1 rank 1 soldiers in it...you back out. That's what I did a couple of minutes ago. You make an assesment and determine that "this **** won't end well" and you leave it's that simple.

Well if my mike wouldnt had died a good week ago i actually would do, even be nice (rather rare for my temper) as i agree on your statement Atomica

But, very very few actually do listen, in all the games i played, all the advice i gave, only very very few listened, ****ing hell i even answered questions no matter how stupid and rush to their positions to keep them alive oftentimes.

For example, bf3 recently, i was polite and friendly on text chat, explained some quirks of the game to prevent my team from getting spawnraped, from all the 20, 2 listened, and that only after i told them it gives more points

There is a reason i went from nice pro to elite douchebag, the reason is beginners that instead of wanting to get better rather ragequit with namecalling those that kept them alive and going

ps: iam dating a real newb to online gaming, but that one is willing to get better and master the toughest tactics, because he knows, in doing so the easy ways become cakewalks. So dont consider me the typical elite douchebag, because i get to that point because of random noobs

http://www.urbandict...b&defid=2568674
I have nohting against newbs, n00bs ****** me off

*edit* @nizzemancer, guess why i raged as well, the game where i lost equipment i was dropped straight into, no lobby
Any lobby i see without some people with good levels, i leave immediately, BUT THERES SO MANY!

You can.... you can back out of a lobby that's full of low-level scrubs. Right? I mean, you can on 360. You can do that! It is something you can do.
