I may be a pathetic old man who murders korean families for fun, but I feel that the only way logical way for Mass Effect 3 to end is with Shepard dying a sad, yet heroic, death. From playing the demo I can see that Shepard is scared as he actually has no plan to defeat the reapers. "We fight or we die?" That's no plan! From the previous games Shepard has been a great leader and knows how to be tactical when entering a dangerous battle, but here he has no idea what to do. He has become a shallow husk of himself, and knows that all they can do is try to "survive" as long as possible. Which is why Shepard should die in the end along with the rest of all the other races, because it is only logical ending.

Agreed?

I agree, feels like the best ending.

Shepard needs to put on Hawaiian swim shorts, grab a mojito, and go to the beach at the end.

No, I want multiple different endings, not a single forced Shephard death route.

The real Mr. Plinkett is far more insightful than this impersonator.

Nope. I can see it being an option, but my Shep wants to live. I don't buy into the whole "dying is more heroic" crapola, not when surviving is a viable option.

No im sure that we will be finding some sort of ancient prototype weapon that makes everything okay, yes my expectations are that low.

Ugh, feels a lot like Matrix. He is basically dead to me, ME2 Shepard was dead for about a year? Brought back to life using technology supplied by the Illusive Man. Does Shepard even have a soul, plus how could his brain remember anything or survive at best. We find his old N7 helmet as part of some DLC in ME2 and no blood, was he frozen in space and wouldn't reentering space burn him up?

Oh Please!, I mostly tend toward paragon, but not the heroic sacrifice please!, it's a god awful cliche!
Better that someone close to Shepard gives their lives in sacrifice, it's easier to die than it is to watch those close to you die.

So Shepard dying once wasn't good enough? It should be one of the endings, not the only one.

Shepard only needs to die if you suck at ME3.

The fans would rage but I would love it. Doubt it'll happen.

Also, I heard that there will be a Deus Ex Machina at the end from some sources, and if that is true, well... that just sucks.

I will be sending pizza rolls to you everyone who thinks this is a good idea, btw!

I wouldn't mind Shepard dying at the end. Actually I would like a choice to sacrifice billions of people to save Shep's life or save them at the cost of Shep's life. That I consider a proper ending for a hero. Or for someone who rather saves his own skin.

One more thing... can someone tell me... if Shepard died at the end of Mass Effect 2... will we play as Joker in Mass Effect 3?

No, Joker is busy fighting a Dark Knight. He went insane if Shep dies

I disagree Plinkett, though I'm fond of your video reviews of the Star Wars prequels.

Yes, it was upgraded with biotic and tech implants.

If he is dead to you, I'm sure there are other forums that would love your support ;)

Well for example when he entered the Mu Relay without knowing what he finds there. Was really good leadership and tactic. Or when he entered the Collector ship that was a trap. Or the trap on Horizon. You really need to be a great tactician to run into every trap you can find.
