WARNING - SPOILERS WITHIN

So, by now I'm sure most of you have heard that a Prothean squadmate will be included with the Collector'd Edition? Well, I just came across this, and I was wondering if I could get the BSN's opinion on the authenticity of this...

If it's included in the game files already, the DLC squad member is someone else.
DLC ADDS to the game. If he's already there, that would be locked content on the disc.

If anything, I'm placing my bets on Jack for being the DLC member.

That is not a bad call at all actually. I think I'd be willing to pay 560MSP for Jack.

EDIT: But what if Jack died on a person's ME2 save? Wouldn't that mean the DLC is useless for them?

Speaking of which, Jack was featured in the ME3 squad member section of the art book, as was Anderson.

Plus, in the demo, on Earth, when you get Anderson as a controlled squaddie, if you pause and go to Squad, you can see he has a full set of level trees, which obviously can't be filled when you only have one point to spend.

I'd take "The Priiiiiize" over "You sound like a p***y" anyday.

Lets compromise and say that Ashley is the most unliked :wizard:

P.S. Props for the 30 Rock Avatar and Banner

...there better be a damn good explanation for him sounding like that. It's... certainly unconventional. But I expected something very different from the prothean race we've heard so much of. And honestly? This isn't so much of a letdown as it is a facepalm-worthy choice.

He'll grow on me. Maybe.
...maybe not.
O-o

Can't see it personally. How could a prothean have survived 50,000 years? Sounds african, so maybe a new species, or an african human bloke?

Otherwise i'd much rather the dlc member to be either a) a previous squad member who would have an otherwise measly existance in me3 or an npc from a previous me, such as kirrahe or kal reegar or something like that

Whoa. If that's true, that makes you wonder where he came from. I mean, 50,000 years have passed since the (supposed?) extinction of the Protheans. How many Prothean generations would be required to cover that? Keeping in mind that there were only a dozen.

If he does exist, perhaps he was in cryo - but then why wouldn't Vigil wake him up once the Reapers were gone? Unless he stayed behind, perhaps, while they others went through the one-way Conduit - and froze himself cryogenicly again afterwards... (though again: why?)

Are we bringing extinct species into this discussion?

I propose Ducky the Aliosaurus as a squadie and LI in ME3
