Who still hasn't gotten any different races in there packs yet? I've bought a ton of Veteran packs and still haven't gotten a single class/race.

At this point I have played about 20 hours at least, probably gone through at least 10-15 veteran packs, and not a single non-human. I'm getting flat out exhausted of this false hope.

I just gave up. They need to either increase the race drop rate or just let you bu them, because if this is what we have to look forward to then count me out.

I ended up getting a salarian in my first pack (the freebe one) and in a Veteran pack I got krogan soldier. Think I may have gotten another, but I can't remember. It's all a matter of luck I guess.

What I find stupid is that for humans (and I guess quarians) is that you can't choose your gender. You have to unlock it.

I've purchased over 30 veteran packs without unlocking a single new race, and Im seriously frustrated. Why would I waste my time playing as something I dont want to be. Im not going to waste my time playing as a character I don't like, so unless there are majors changes from now till release Im just gonna play the campaign on my friends game and save myself $60 and 400 hours trying to unlock the basic character I want to play

I could deal with the package system if it was like specific kind of packages. example: Character Pack- unlock different characters which included races & classes, extra xp for said classes. weapon pack- unlock weapons and weapon upgrades, Armor pack: unlock different armor pieces, and customization options. make the packs a specific category they can still be random but at least we will know some of what we're getting.

I got a Quarian Engineer, Krogan Soldier and Drell Vanguard from about 15 veteran packs. Bioware really needs to add a pack that always contains a new race.

Just keep fighting. Every 3 out of 4 games you should be able to afford a veteran pack. I've unlocked every race except turian - just keep going, the next one could be it.

Sorry for the double post, but that is exactly opposite of my experience. I've upgraded my Sniper Rifle (I don't use one!) and unlocked human females for the classes I don't use. It's a good thing the rest of the multiplayer is actually fun.

Why are you getting so few veteran packs? Are you blowing your money on recruit packs? If so, stop doing that.

I do now because after the 15th or 16th time of blowing 20k credits on crap, I gave up on playing another race/gender and just use it for the items.

I've lost count of all my veteran packs, but I've pretty much been buying a veteran pack every two matches, for the past 8 hours, and nothing. Did the same thing yesterday. Fail is me.

I think I've purchased about... Twenty veteran packs so far, and not a single alien race. The only alien I have is an Asari adept, and that came from my freebie pack (And I hate Asari!). I'm really getting sick of wasting my credits on something when I have a very slim chance of getting what I actually want (Turian soldier or sentinel). I understand this probably seemed like a good idea in concept, but the way it's implimented really kills the fun for those who want to play as something other than human, especially when you unlock so many humans it feels like the game is beginning to taunt you. ...That last part might be a bit of an exageration with the taunting part, but seriously, I'm sick of getting a human and/or weapon I'm never going to use in every pack I buy.

Now if Bioware were to add a specific pack for races (which would obviously cost more than a veteran pack) or add a store that allowed you to buy the starting version of the race/class you wanted (while leaving the character "upgrades" in other packs), I have a feeling the multiplayer might be more enjoyable for those who prefer the alien races.

I haven't either, but I'm maining humans anyway so I'm OK with this. Still, I wanted a quarian and a turian eventually.

Only purchased a handful of veteran packs though.

Ive unlocked Male Engineer x2, Krogan Soldier, Asari Adept x2, and Drell Vanguard.

Just random luck.

I got the asari adept on my second veteran pack. Nothing else since.

You'd think for a DEMO they'd make these things easier to unlock.

Part of me wonders if different players have different likelihoods set when it comes to unlocking specific items, weapons, or characters. It's possible that some people just had luck of the draw and others didn't, but...

Well, one day we'll get exact numbers down on the likelihood for each drop and whether or not it varies from player to player, but nailing down these numbers for the demo is probably a bit of a waste of time.

If we want them to incraese the race drop rate, we should post on their MP feedback thread, here. I'm sure if they get enough replies about this concern, they might tweak it in the full game.

I have a friend who got a Quarian engineer with his freebie pack. If you want to talk about luck, I think he's one of the few you should turn to since he got exactly what he wanted right away.
