 I recently unlocked the Revenant assault rifle in multiplayer, I was wondering what your opinions are on the gun.

Is it a common rifle?

it's too heavy and too unstable, I think. The selling point is probably more ammo. But Avenger+scope+ stabiliser is as good as it can be. For the ammo? just stay near the box.

I have unlocked it as well and found it to unreliable, too heavy, and too inaccurate.

I don't think it's really worth the weight.
IMO It's inaccurate and and it doesn't do a lot of damage. The only selling point is the high "magazine" capacity. I thought it would be improved compared to ME2. Oh well...

The Rev, especially with ammo upgrades can absolutely tear apart an Atlas with focused fire. Especially with Adrenaline Rush.

Mm, it's tough. I liked it in ME2 for mob dealing but at the moment we're versing Cerberus and they dont really mob you. Maybe when we fight Husks it will prove it's value.

Mattock was nerfed too. And the Avenger was buffed.

Mattock isn't nerfed once you've unlocked Mattock X like I have! Lol

I'm using a Phalanx X and it's a beast but I think the Carnifax would blow it away given the situation..

Ah, the Revenant. I looooove using that rifle as a Vanguard! Charging and then unleashing the Revenant at point-blank range is so much fun.

It's a fancy shotgun, basically. Way too innacurate to use at range. Up close? clears a room like nothing else. I prefer the Claymore, myself (I got both weapons, but no race unlock, Bioware Y u no allow me to unlock a specific item?). But yeah it kills Atlas mechs faster than anything but a missile.

I've only used it once, only just unlocked it.

It didn't cut silver as a raw weapon. DPS is too low compared to other options.

I'm of the opinion it will tear up Bronze like nothing else.

I also think a few upgrades + a level V+ stability mod will make it shape up.

so yeah I think it's mod dependent, but could come good. Great on Bronze for speed clears.

Personally think the Avenger is better on bronze.  Between reloading once or continously firing, the Avenger gets more accurate rounds down.  Of course, that's how I play, and I agree on the Revenant being mod dependent.

It has higher DPS than most weapons.

That being said its damage is comparable to the Avenger.

They really buffed the Avenger.
