auih77@gmail.com account.

i created a new account and i can login into that account no problem in game.

Yeah, I have the same experience with DLC. It took them over 2 weeks to reply to my email request. And they replied with the same response the tier 1 live chat guy gave me. I swear to god, if they take another 2 weeks to reply i'm going to start breaking some knee caps

Seriously though, it's very frustrating to buy a product and not have it work as intended. I'll have finished the game twice by the time they get this fixed.

I think some people have mentioned that they've had problems login in if they have "complicated" alpha-numeric passwords, and that letter only passwords work better. Any chance this could be your problem?

Make sure you don't have any IP filtering software running which could block communication to the auth servers. If you're running Peerblock or anything like that, double check the log when you attempt to log in from within the game and authorize that IP.

I'd thought about that as well, but then neither e-mail would work, not just one.

Hey ViRuS2k9, if your password contains any non-alphanumeric characters, please change it to only include alphanumerics and attempt logging in again.

For anyone using Peerblock, you can make the in-game login work properly by adding the list:
http://list.iblockli...=electronicarts

Make sure to set it to allow.

This isn't the OP's problem, but with Peerblock mentioned as a possible culprit, figured I'd give people having an issue the solution without disabling their software in the process.

I'm having the same problem and it is completely unrelated to special characters in the password, peerblock, firewalls, routers, etc. It's a problem with their servers, as VirU noted, he's capable of logging in just fine with another account, just not the original account. I, like him, already tied the DLC with this account (which doesn't log in). If creating a new account is all it takes to fix this problem, why doesn't BioWare/EA just reset the DLC codes on accounts for those of us that are having problems (or give us new codes or whatever) and allow us to use those on a new account that will work? Seems like a reasonable solution. I call BS if they claim they can't do it.

I have already changed the password on the auih77@gmail.com account password 15 times already.

with just numbers and also with just letters.
and with letters and numbers.

the actually issue is with the dragons age origins network server in game.
its like it doesnt reconize the account.

and yes guys the account works perfect on these forums aswell as the ea account profile login aswell
everything there works.

i dont understand this

and i spoken to the tear 1 tech support and asked if they could delete my account and then let me make another one, he said though if i did that i wouldnt be able to reregister the game or redeem codes.

its like im going around in a freaking circle getting no where, a game that i payed for a support like this is shocking and the time they take to reply back to you in a email is beyond the joke, i think im going to contact tradeing standards.

or file a lawsuite, that should get them to move more quicker, infact for all the trouble that has been caused i should be bloody reinburst some sort of torcher refund payment..

anyway i spoken to a guy on the phone aswell and even he is puzzled, he said he is going to contact his tear 2 support team and email me back within 48hours.

its already been 24+ hours and still waiting, we shall see.

I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. You could do that also if it would make you feel any better.

You get better help when you're honest and accurate about your problem. I read your post and said, "Really? 15 times? You counted?" I've worked in tech support before, and I can tell you that this is the sort of thing they would typically chalk up to user error.

That's especially true if you submitted your trouble ticket the same way you've posted here. If you write a message as though you were poorly educated or careless or with little attention to detail, that is how they will see you. If you look careless when you type, how likely are they to believe you when you say you've done whatever steps they asked you to take? All these things will lower the quality of the service you get.

I don't want to insult you, but I am being truthful. I'm not saying it's your fault you've gotten bad service, but I am saying you should do whatever you need to do to get the service you want.

When i said 15 times, i was being sarcastic. i didnt count but it felt as though i had changed the password a good few times.

I think I had the same problem, but managed to fix it.

You need to download a replacement "daorigins.par".

It's a tiny 1kb file that is corrupt in the retail version of the game.

I replaced mine with one I downloaded from http://forums.impulsedriven.com/368913

I hope it works for you too.

I have a similar problem. Thanks to that endless loop on the 'beta' social site not allowing me to use my bioware login, I now have two different accounts registered to the same.exact.email. FatherG has mass effect; Father_G has dragon age. Contacting EA support (as per the directions on this forum) results in them saying, and I quote, "I am sorry but we are unable to merge to accounts. [07:39:04 AM]" . When I linked him to the page saying that yes sir, you /can/ in fact do this all he could reply with was:

"I apologize but for further assistance I need to escalate this issue to higher level. [07:44:31 AM]

You will contacted soon through email by our senior department. [07:44:37 AM]"

Considering the holiday and the general lag-time with these matters I've read here, I'll be waiting for a month before I hear from anyone; if at all. Meanwhile my ME account on the bioware site feels like a red-headed stepchild.

http://forums.biowar....html?u=4900395

These sort of things make me never want to purchase an EA or Bioware game again.

Something to consider is that EA laid off 40% of its staff this month, customer service is going to be slower.

And to add insult to injury...this game is now ONSALE on STEAM! I paid full price and can't really play it...if I had waited I could have bought it on sale and still not played it. At least it would have been cheaper.

My problem is nothing to do with activation, my game is activated and works apart from the fact i cant login in game
with the auih77@gmail.com account but i can log in with the other one i made in game but the one that needs to work is the one that has the game activation and dlc attached to it...

its the actual dragons age network server thats messed up my account.

read the EULA the game is sold as is and they are not liable if it doesn't run on your PC.

I stand by what I said. All they have to judge your intelligence level by is how well you write. And really, nothing you said would make any difference--it could easily be taken to mean that you're so convinced that the problem is on EA's end that you're not following their instructions because you think you know more than they do.

But, it's your problem, and your life. Carry on.

It's called customer service, which they have not provided, therefore I am well within my rights to file a complaint with the BBB. Please don't pretend like you understand that which you clearly do not.

Furthermore, they are completely liable provided that the problem is on their end of the deal. Otherwise, it would be legal for a software company to just put a blank CD in a box and sell it "as is" and say "Sorry that it doesn't work on your computer, it works just fine for us!"

Perhaps you don't completely understand the phrase you used - "as is." "As is" does not imply that they can sell whatever crap they want regardless of how well it works and claim that it's not their fault if it fails to function. "As is" implies in this case that they are certain to the best of their technical abilities that their product is 100% functional and that if said product fails to work, then the problem would be on the consumer end and not the manufacturers end.

In this case where people are having problems connecting to the Dragon Age servers, but are able to create a brand new account and log in just fine (and neither account has special characters), then it becomes very clear that the problem has to do with their servers handling of account information or data or whatever, on their end. It doesn't take genius problem solving skills to realize that.
