I love Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer but initially it was a very frustrating experience for me because by default quick match will put you into any match including Gold difficulty which is what happened with my first match.  It took me a few rounds before I realized that the difficulty settings even existed.  As soon as I switched the game became much more enjoyable. 

So for the benefit of new players and experienced ones my request is simple, set the default difficulty to Bronze or at least provide a MP tutorial or even a simple pop-up explaining quick match settings I think will make ME3 MP much more noob-friendly.  Not everyone who plays will visit the forums so please consider this even if for a future update, thank you!

Considering that you can set (and other players can too) what challenge level you want quick match to look for this seems pretty moot. Just put the information out there. Problem solved

Just No... Saw this thread back in the day and just had to ignore it, Thanks to the necro I now can't.

These scrubs gotta learn some time. Hell I know I was carried through my first few gold games and I'd been playing a while then. If they want to try gold that's their deal, if they don't then its up to them to leave or you to kick them if you can't be bothered to help them out.
But please, if you do choose to kick, do the decent thing and tell them why.

I think you're missing the point - to stop new players *unknowingly* and *unintentionally* joining gold matches.

Actually I love that idea, but think it should be more restrictive. 10 matches and has to be U/U in a public lobby.

I'm really wondering why they set it to Plat/Collectors.

If my first game had been that combination, with me unintentionally dropping in mid-game, I'm somewhat sure it would've been my last game as well.

I thought gold was bronze. There's an actual bronze difficulty?!
