When I was playing the single player ME3 demo, I noticed that I could use the assault rifle and shotgun even though I was an Adept. At first I thought that meant BioWare brought back th "anyone can use any weapon" concept from ME1, but then I noticed I didn't have a sniper rifle. Does that mean that the classes' weapon specialisations were changed for the demo, but otherwise they'll be like ME2, or that it'll be like ME1 and they just left the sniper out for the demo?
So, all classes can use all weapons now... or can they?

They just left the sniper out of the demo. You can use any weapon combination you want to.

They just left the sniper rifle out. You'll take a huge hit on your power cooldowns by loading up the firepower.
Pay attention to your cooldowns in the Earth part of the demo, then look what it balloons to during that Sur'Kesh section where you're loaded down. Yikes.

ME3 uses a new weight system to balance out weapons.
I can't wait to get my hands on my old Claymore!

Ah, thanks for the info. I kinda like that system better than ME2's system, it felt like half the weapons were unused in that.

Not as weird as playing an ME sentinel is, with all those guns on my back I'm never going to use, looking silly. Can't even aim with anything but the pistol; why bother? If you can't use the sniper rifle scope especially, it's just ridiculous.
Wish it would let me gel 'em.

Hate to break the news to ya, but there is no reload bypass for the Claymore now and its usefulness is screwed with the Katana and Scimitar having deeper clips and Weapon Synergy making Charge make any Shotty able to finish any job a NovaCharge cant.
