Cerberus Trooper: First a note: They looks amazing! That armor is just to good, I want one! That said, they are awesome probably the best standard soldier I've seen since Half-Life 2. They are intelligent, have a good balance between damage dealt/health, have an interesting melee, dodge your attacks (this is awesome!), interact with cover like you and know how to toss granades, which in higher difficults can be extremely dangerous.
.
Centurions: They are pretty much an upgrades version of the trooper, so everything good about the trooper can be applied here. About the power-ups, they have: a shield and smoke granades, which are very interesting, since make you not able to lock on targets. They also a bit tougher than the tropper... what I don't know is if they buff troops around them.
.
Nemesis: Hands down the worst Cerberus soldier, they are annoying as hell! Not deadly annoying, but hard to hit annoying. If you don't get the right powers, you might just stay running behind her and shooting. The laser sight is kind of cool, and she can deal some damage when she is covering other troops... but I really think she needs some kind of close range attack, even if it is defensive.
.
Guardian: This units have one purpose, get close to you. And they do it veyr well... it's not uncommon to see someone pinned down by them, trying to kill them but unable to. When you have nothing else to worry about, taking them out may not be your greatest challenge, but when they have firing support, they might offer a lot of trouble.
.
Atlas: It was disappointed by the Atlas. Not tha it's bad, but it's not much different from the Heavy Mech from ME2. It just got those cool smoke granades, melee attacks (one that is fatal), instead of a machine gun it got a small cannon and their missiles seems to be impossible to dodge. But they are not much more than a heavy mech, nothing in it makes it stands out (other than the awesome design). Why not add some cooler things to it? I don't know, maybe a missile attack that goes above cover, and locks on your position, forcing you to move. Anyway, it's not much more than avarage.
.
Engineer: When you see an engineer you know that you be extra careful. Why? Because they deploy those little turrets that tear you apart in seconds and can kill an entire team if someone has the brilliant idea to die in the middle of their attack range. So, they can deploy the turrets, what more? Not much, and here is the bad thing about engineers. Sure, they can fix their turrets and the Atlas, but by themselves they are pretty much helpless, I think they don't even have a melee attack. They should have some other power, like incinarate or something.
.
Phantom: They are by far the most awesome Cerberus soldier. Also the deadlist! I bet a lot of people prefer to see an Atlas coming their way than a Phantom. What I like about her is how resourceful she is. She got a extremely powerful ranged attack, has an ever more powerful melee attack, can one hit kill you, enter a defensive position that will absorb most, if not all, the damage and can enter stealth when her health is low to regenarate. Just an awesome enemy to fight! And more than any other, can end a fight if not given the proper attention. This is the kind of enemy I want to fight! Way to go, Bioware.
.
Conclusion: So, as you can see, Cerberus has an amazing army in their hands (didn't expect any less from TIM!). Not only their design are amazing, but pretty much all of them are very good enemies, that have great AI, can dodge, intereact with the environment, etc... if the other factions are as good as this, ME3 will have a lengendary force of foes. If I have to say one bad thing about it though, is that all trooper hold the same weapon. We see a picture of them with shotguns, why they don't have it now? Maybe this can be done in a patch? Anyway, that just one issue in an ocean of awesomeness.
So, what your overall thought on the Cerberus Faction?

I actually disagree on the Guardian front, if you're a competent shot you can usually get some shots in through the window even with rapid-fire weapons - and if you have a sniper rifle you can absolutely ruin their day.

Also, I'd say the ability to deploy turrets is sufficient lethality for the Engineer, considering how much damage they can output.

Turrets are really lethal. Phatoms are deadly. The Atlas is a giant Cerberus mech that if you can put enough ammo in, is not much of a problem. Nemesis are annoying, I find them hard to target. Besides them everyone is really just standard infantry.
I like the Cerberus faction. Can't wait to see others.

The worst part about turrets is that they aren't considered enemies so you can have a new wave start while you still have a couple of turrets laying around.
Freaking turrets.

Yeah, and they give very few points if you kill them.... although I think they blow up by themselves after a while.

It's amazing. I love it.
Hyperbole, sure. But BioWare really outdid themselves with these guys.

It's really annoying when they roll into my Warp and still ignore the damage and DoT.

The question I'm asking myself is, "how many other factions will there be?"

The first thing I do if I have Overload and see an engineer is head straight for them. Because their shields can keep them alive while they're building turrets. Tricksy suckers.
Phantoms. That OHKO. Hurts so good.

I agree. I suggested that the Phantoms be more quick and relentless but everyone rather they stay the same.
They exist to ruin your day, worst than a Nemsis and far more annoying than a Guardian when you're not focused.
To me they are a challenge. I play to hunt down Phantoms. I stalk them!

Nemesis and Phantom are no challenge for my Drell Vanguard. I Biotic Charge into them and put a shotgun slug to their temple. Easy peasy. Combat Engineers are the toughest. You'll realize that soon enough once he deploys a turret. Centurions can definitely take a beating but they're not very intimidating. The boss enemy, Atlas, is just a gigantic, walking bullet sponge. It's more of an annoyance than a threat.
