During the Demo, Captain Kirrahe presses a button on his pistol, it fires a cluster of little mass field bombs, one of which attaches itself to a very unlucky Cerberus trooper.
To echo Garrus' comment "Why don't I have one of those?"
Will we be able to acquire this weapon for the Normandy Armory?
I'd love to give it to my squadmates.
Maybe even Garrus if it's possible, because he said he liked it!
Can we obtain Captain Kirrahe's pistol for the armory?

He's using the Scorpion Defensive Ordinance Pistol, and yes, it's a weapon you can use. Bioware has gone all out to make the weapons different and interesting this time around.

Like already said, you can get the that pistol in the full game and you can get it on that level too if I am not mistaken.
I think it was taken out since they just wanted you to have some of the good default stuff to play around with.

You can in the real game, after youve done the mission where you meet kirrahe, you can buy it from the armory from the shop called Aegohr Munitions for 7700credits
