For those brave enough to take on the challenge post your tips and tricks on how you go about completing this challenge. Here's mine :

1) Bring an Asari Adept. Bubble stasis is so useful, it works on almost everything and is the easiest way to control those pesky phantoms for your team mates.

2)Take an infiltrator. The cloak is crucial when you need to revive a team mate in the heat of battle.

3)Blind Fire - very affective against turrets and when regaining shields

4)Roll like crazy when your near death until you can reach cover

5)Bring Missile ammo - Seriously, you get like four Atlas's in a row. Makes life so much easier.

That's all I can think of for now. Some are pretty obvious but just thought It might be helpful to some beginners.

Have awareness when going after the objective. I see it all the time two people rush to upload data and neither check the corner for an Assault trooper and get owned.

Don't go splitting off, stay in a group of four.

Use a class that has Overload maxed out. It can drop a the shields of a Centurion, Nemesis, Combat Engineer, and even a Phantom it one shot. Combined with an Asari Adept and an Infiltrator a good Engineer can be a life saver.

I wouldn't recommend using a Human Adept on Gold. Their best ability is juggling enemies in a Singularity and them hitting them with a Warp bomb. Because there will be an onslaught of shielded bad guys the HA has a hard time making effect use of Singularity. An Asari Adept is much better in Gold.

Also, try and find a defensible position and lock it down as a group on waves that don't require you to secure an objective.

Positioning is crucial. Splitting up the group means you will die. Quickly.

- In the Fire White level, take position in the building's stairs (two at top, and two at bottom, or two debuffers at top and a vanguard/tank class at the bottom) this will prevent you from being flanked by guardians, phantoms, and atlases except on wave 10 lol.
- In the Ghost (?) level, there's a specific building (nearby where the hacking objective starts) where it is save to hold for several waves.
- Have your vanguard/tank take out nemeses and turrets.

I think the ideal group would consist of:
1) Engineer: Combat drone is a great distraction, Overload and Incinerate are great against ATLAS.
2) Infiltrator: Can do the disabling/enabling objectives while under cloak, can revive while under cloak, can theoretically do the assassination objectives himself (on silver it's almost like cheating)
3) Asari adept: Stasis Bubble. Nuff said.
4) Soldier or Sentinel

I'm not sure if a Vanguard is a viable choice in Gold. His core ability "Charge" could be more trouble than it's worth. But I haven't played Vanguard much, so I don't know.

- All characters should be lvl18-20 and should have high level weapons and fitting equipment.
- Use voicechat, preferably a third party application that works well without Push-to-talk (You don't want to concentrate on pushing yet another key)
- Stay together
- Call out tough enemies (esp. Turrets, Phantom, Atlas)
- Keep your missiles for really tough situations. I like to keep 'em for the evacuation or the assasination missions (when the target is an Atlas).
- Don't be afraid to retreat from an area before you get overrun. Many times my group got wiped, we could have probably retreated to another location and would have survived.

We need to make this phrase a poster or something.

Even on BRONZE this is essential when you don't all have stacked characters. People rush off and do their own thing, then beg to be revived when they're far away from everyone else in the middle of a bunch of enemies. So someone else wants to be a hero, dashes in, also falls... etc. Staying together is THE most important rule in any team objective-based mode like this. Horde, Zombies, Survival, whatever. Number one rule.

I feel like a lot of people playing this mode aren't exactly well-versed in multiplayer. It's making trying harder modes quite... irritating.

- Positioning.
- Roaming as a group or at least groups of two.
- class versatility.

I think positioning is great. My teammates usually make sure I am comfortable with my sniper rifle and pick them off at any given angle. Vanguards are excellent baits and can sustain themselves long enough for me to protect them.

Vanguards can be useful but you need good timing and suppresive/distraction fire and only carry one weapon. (A light shotgun or pistol/smg). You need to charge at the biggest target to stun him, then you fire your gun, use nova, and repeat to fill your shields. This tactic is a lot safer if you charge into a stasis bubble. For obvious reasons...

I'm a Vanguard (lvl 19)... and I dominated Gold with 2 other people (on both maps). Vanguards are devastating at any difficulty level. You're likely to find more players who suck as a Vanguard compared to other classes (perhaps), but I can vouch for the class being able to destroy anything and everything in dominating fashion.

Gold Tactics:

-Destroy at a distance as much as possible.
-Destroy shields as soon as possible
-Arm up on your weapon mods
-Constantly check for flanking (don't assume they'll all come from just one place)
-Don't go anywhere alone (bring atleast one other person with you... unless you have good cover and are providing a distraction)
-combine powers with your squadmates
-Work together... you're a team, act like it.

- One decent player can easily beat 2 Atlas's on his/her own without rocket launcher.
- Rocket Launcher will really be useful while waiting for extraction
- Stay with your team, always, nobody needs heroes
- Aim in the head no matter what (except highly mobile targets like phantoms)
- Prioritaze targets, e.g. dont let Engineers deploy turrets
- Blindfire works on turrets and atlas (imo)
- Use cover-grab kills whenever u can (couldnt do that with phantom though)
- Save your medigel, use it only when Cerberus Trooper comes to stomp you or you're the last guy standing

Just on push-to-talk...you can change that in settings to be always-on. I found that a lifesaver on silver, forget gold.

How do you trigger the cover-grab kills? I've seen the symbol come up a few times, but always realized it too late. Do I have to perform a heavy melee (hold button) or a light melee (push button)?

just quickly press melee button before your victim runs away, (you don't have to hold the button :) )

3 more tips
Communications, Always tell your friends where you spotted a threat. Always tell your friends what itens you still has. Always tell them if you are going to shoot a missile.

Know your group, before just jumping in the gold, play at least a bronze/silver to know each playstyle if it's the first time you are playing with them.

Don't stress out if you fail, it's just a game and there's no reason to curse some one that's only there to enjoy the game.
