I wanted the Mass Effect 3 codex, and here it is.

Well, one the devs mentioned that in MP, Cerberus is considered the easy one.

So there were myths about Reapers before ME1?
Machine devils and beings of light? Machine cultists?

Well they should be. I mean all of their slaves have been implanted with all kinds of twisted evil reaper technology. I just listened to a recording on youtube someone had of the different sounds the husks and other reaper creations will be making. Creepy

Listening the the Rachin husks part... that is exactly why I killed the Rachini Queen... I thought that this race would be easy to control.

Too bad that choice doesn't matter.
Them being husks has nothing to do with being inherently controllable. You may have noticed that pretty much every other species is perfectly huskable too. If you want to get right down to it, there isn't any species the Reapers seem to find hard to indoctrinate.
The codex did say it was easier for the reapers to control them because of that.
.
Anyway, if my choice mattered, I would not have to fight them.

It was actually mentioned and hinted at in ME2 as well:
"I have no information on a 'Reaper.' References to the term exist in some para-historical theories on galactic extinction cycles."
"There are tales of such things among my people. Devices buried on distant worlds that turn the finders into abominations."

It was mentioned in Mass Effect 1 also that there were urban legends and conspiracy theories about a race of sentient machines being responsible for the Prothean extinction. Of course, most people didn't pay much attention to it and probably laughed at the believers as nutters.

It says Alliance scientists have theorized that their neurology makes them easier to control. Seems more like a nod to fan discussions to me and/or Bioware adding more fuel to that particular fire.

It's assumed that killing the queen would be genocide, but no one knows if there are other eggs hidden somewhere in the galaxy, that egg survived a 1000 years, it makes sense there maybe other eggs, perhaps hidden deep underground.SNascimento wrote...

Who knows? Maybe those who read the script do.

so does this mean that people fearing "where is the codex" can be happy now?
They will find something else to complain about. That's just how they are.

Well, you spoiled it for yourself, personally I'd rather not know until I get the game, if saving the queen cause more problems then so be it, from Shepards perspective it's a judgement call, he has no idea whether the queen was lying or not, unless of course the omni tool had a built in lie detector that I was unaware of.SNascimento wrote...Who knows? Yeah, the blacklisting would have been pretty neat if they kept that plot point, but I mean your writing 1 role for two different characters that's no easy task.

Well there's the specific reason how Sovereign was killed...not that it wasn't known, but the lack of an official explanation encouraged people to continue debating it.
There was official confirmation by the devs.

Yep, it's mentioned in her bio back in the old ME1 website. She helped instruct her squadmates and led them admirably, being called "tough, but fair" by one of her squadmates. This got her promoted to squad leader and then platoon leader early on. The people sitting behind the desks may have blacklisted her, but the boots on the ground (including Shepard) saw her potential and approved of it.SSV Enterprise wrote...
