Why? According to the codex, "All asari are natural biotics", so why would you have them an Engineers? Surely it would make more sense for say a Quarian and Salarian Engineers instead? At the moment we have Turian Sentinels, when Turians aren't Biotic. Wouldn't it make more sense ot have Turian Engineers and Asari Sentinels?

Maybe I'm missing something, but from Mass Effect 2 on my facebook feed:

"Ka-ching! That was the sound of us unlocking an Asari Engineer and a heaping of XP in the ME3 co-op demo just now. What's the best item you've gotten in one of the Recruit/Veteran Packs?"

Yep, I've read it too on facebook and was shocked. If asari will have 3 classes. Then lets us have quarians, turians, krogan 3rd class.

Asari live for hundreds of years. You'd think one or two of them might have an affinity for tech? How would they build their buildings and dreadnoughts otherwise?

Still holding out for a Krogan Battlemaster (vanguard) myself.

Very true Avenger, but as I said they could always just do an Asari Sentinel - biotic power combined with tech. It would also make far more sense to have a Turian Engineer rather than a Sentinel as I think the only Turian with Biotics we've seen is Saren, and that was after he'd been implanted by Sovereign.

Veddy interestink. I love my Asari Adept. Wanted the Vanguard, but haven't managed to find her yet. Engineer is my preferred class.

Some Asari choose not to develop their biotic abilities.

Either a typo, or they're introducing more classes. In which case, give me a Krogan Vanguard. I get that he'd look silly doing a charge, but plenty of other classes have alternative skills. I'm sure they could give a Battle-Master-Esque build like Wrex; just seems odd to abandon the class they originally filled.

There are turian biotics, they're just fairly rare.

Which precludes them from military service. Would make no sense out in a war. Asari Engineers = No, please.

They are natural, strong biotics. It's freakin' Galaxy at War and they're not using their strongest assets? Something's wrong! Adept and Vanguard is the way to go. Likewise, a Salarian Adept would look ridiculous. Those kits are very well-balanced. I personally wouldn't dig it if things were all over the place like that.

Y'know, MP is not an excuse to break lore. It's there for a reason and still very much a part of the ME universe.

Considering the demo only has "approx 50% of the full game content"?

Maybe it wasn't a typo & there's more classes? We'll soon see, just three weeks left & we'll know everything.

An asari engineer can fix things w/ their biotics and never get their hands dirty

Of course there are Turian biotics. That's no different from Human biotics, hell, they brought in Turian biotics for Human biotic training. Ever talked to Kaidan? They're not uncommon. So Turian Sentinels and Adepts make sense.

Asari Engineers make less sense. Why? Sure they can choose not to develop their biotic abilities. But lets be real for a second here, if you choose to go into the army or otherwise involve yourself into combat and you're an Asari chances are you will definitely develop your biotic abilities. Unless you're a ******. They to me would definitely make the least sense as Engineers over Krogan, Turians or what have you. They would make fine Sentinels, but Engineers? I have my reservations. And with reservations I mean "No, just no."

So I guess this is planned for the final game or what? Any sources?
Hoping it's a typo...
