On a random note had a good game today, was playing gold with a bunch of low level characters, was like oh wow we are going to die...well we died, but not before making it to wave 6, how? The team actually worked together, stayed in group for some segments or flanked the enemy when they were in the open. Was fun.

Of course, I'm on the 360, so I probably have no reason to post here

They do always tend to die over and over though.. Do they have less health than human Vanguards or did I just run into suicidal Drell Vanguards?

I see them quite often honestly. By far the most popular Alien race I've seen.

They get half the barrier of the human vanguards.

Pull is what makes the DG special not the cartwheel or kung fu kicks. Pull has like a 1.5 sec cooldown. It CC's multiple enemies for 7+ secs, combos with your other two abilities, and adds a damage bonus two you AR shots. You should be using an AR because you have less weight with an AR and pistol than a just a shotty because of the 30% weight reduction to pistols passive.

I think most ppl aren't playing the DrellGuard correctly. They realize the Nova guard has more survivablity and stop play the DrellGuard. The DG is not a charge-bot. You don't have Nova or the 20% weight reduction to all weapons like the NovaGuard, and only have half the shields of the other races. The DrellGuard is all about Biotic combos. Pull a target, throw a cluster grenade, and watch the Biotic detonation kill every enemy in the area. Never charge with out pulling first to cause a detonation.

This is good to know. If I ever manage to unlock him(Drell Vanguard) I will totally try this. Sounds awesome.

Ye, so at gold difficulty you can kill basic assaultsers. cool. How do you reliably hit with grenades? And how do you keep up their usage? Can you really claim grenade, as the main ability against anything other than assault troopers, is viable? You only got 2-3 and then you need to run to every ammo pack there is...

I imagine there is a minority of Drell Vanguards namely as:
1) Luck of the draw -- Can't unlock
2) Requires finesse to really shine, whereas Human Vanguard is debately brainlessly overpowered.

Interesting, what about toting just a scoped Carnifex?
I'll give my DrellGuard a go in Bronze now.
