They (DLCs) may not be the death of gaming, but I definitely dont like the direction this is heading.
Taking original content and sidelining it for DLC? Shady
So, here's a question: What makes you think we are entitled to get any and all content they create in the original game? Why is it wrong for them to decide to set some unfinished work aside to be included in a future downloadable purchase? This game was half a decade in the making and is packed with fantastic content. Compared to the majority of games I've purchased recently, I feel like I got a huge bargain paying the purchase price for DA:O, and if Bioware is prepared to release more content for this game then so much the better.
Are you telling me for ex Star Ocean 4,Lost odyssey,Blue Dragon or Tales of vesperia is shorter in content? and do you think for ex FF13 will be that and charge for DLC on day1 ?
I wonder why japanese developers doesnt charge for dlc on day 1.
Just for reference...
DAO took me 38 hours to finish.
TOV 53
SO 46
LO 43
BD 37
And dont give me that, oh but DAO has extra content that you didnt explore, oh really, so Star ocean 4 for ex doesnt have 3 extra dungeons which you can powerlevel to 255 and find the best gear in?
I played SO4 for over 150+ hours doing the extra dungeons and 100's of side-quest,doesnt mean the game is really 150 hours, it means the main story is 40+ and the rest if up to you if your a big fan or not of the game and wanna press on for full completion.
