I finished my first playthrough as Human noble warrior (hard difficulty) after 133 hours.
http://social.biowar...ubdisplay=story

Compared to most others, who put up there playthrough time here, that seems quite long.  Even compared to the people who claim to have done everything in game. Btw I claim I did everything (possible) in game!^^ Besides  warden´s keep (which I decided to ignore...) and killing the dragon in Orzammar...  For some reason the throne was never clickable for me.... :? Oh and I nearly forgot! I never touched or spoke in an inappropriate way to Zevran.

Possible reasons It took me so long:
-Higher difficutly. On easy I probably would have 40 hours less (just a guess)
-I read a lot of the codex (not all: just what interested me)
-I talked to everyone and let them speak (means I didn´t press escape, while they still speak.)
-I revisited areas when I couldn´t open chests before and also to check if something might have changed.
-I tried to trigger all random encounters and I think I did...
-I did all sidequests, including the ones you get from your companion.
-I don´t use walkthroughs, cheats or any other help the first itme I play. (Well only technical help)
-I played a a warrior and not a mage...
-I slept with Morrigan every time I went to camp...well until she really fell in love with me...after that I slept with Leliana every time I went to camp (I unintentionally triggered a bug, which lets you romance both at the same time). I never slept with both of them right after another though. I was scared they would notice something....

So what about others? How long did it take you to finish the game the first time?
Did you cheat (honestly)? Did you really do everything in game? And if you really think you did everything, what difficulty did you play on?

it would also be nice if people prove somehow their playing time. Everyone I saw claiming, he (no shes) finished the game under 40 hours on his first playthrough, had no uploaded profile here....

21 hour straight blitz. Didn't sleep. It was horrible by the end. Was falling asleep through the Archdemon fight.

If you didn't use a walkthrough, how can you know you did everything possible?

Sounds fishy and what a very convenient answer.

I finished my first time through at 41 hours with 66% of the game completed according to the codex. I did not finish everything obviously but explored most of the game. Thats why I am going through it again.

Have not finished yet (have not even gone to Landsmeet) and am at 88 hours on normal difficulty. I have done all the quests appropirate for my character and talked to everyone. Currently at 64% of game explored. I have finished Redcliffe, Brecelian forest, Orzammar, Urn of Sacred Ashes, Wardens Keep, Stone Prisoner and am just cleaning up a few companion quests before Landsmeet. I have romanced Alistair and deliberately not pursued a romance with Zevran. My character is an honorable (and quite good) dalish rogue so I have not done quests that go against her character.

Finished in about 55 hours on normal, and I skipped a fair chunk of sidequests. (All the thief/assassin type ones since I was a warrior.)

40 hours for my first run on normal. Completed 60% of the game by the statistics. Warrior 2 handed.

26 Hours, 48 Minutes (On Nightmare), Assassin/Duelist City Elf Rogue, 61% of Game complete, 91% of Game Explored. Going through again now as Human Noble Warrior, Sword and Board making different choices.

I'd post the same thing you did if I could, I went to my profile, all it has are my achievements no characters.

Well over 90 hours, all quests I encountered completed save for the final Blackstone Irregulars one completed (some bug that never had Raelnor show up for me so I wasn't able to continue), all companion quests done, revisited areas constantly 'in case something changed', got the Traveler achievement for visiting all areas of the game, listened to all dialogue (never turned on overhead text), etc.  Human Noble Rogue origin. Dragged Alistair to my bed *LOTS*. Read all of the Codex, sometimes more than once to see if I could pick out anything I missed about any potential secrets, but I'm pretty much a speed reader so that never took very long. 60 of those 90 hours were played in 30 hour chunks without sleep, too... nasty winter flu with a side serving of insomnia.
Yay for having Dragon Age during my recovery! :P

Took me 80+ hours here on normal first time through. Tried to do all the side quests and trigger all of the random encounters possible. Probably would have finished it faster as a mage I am playing through with now.

Edit: Oh and listening to all of the conversations that I could etc.

Uhh, I didn't time it but it took less than a month (about 3 weeks) playing 4-5 hours a day or so. I played on easy and at the end of the first play through I'd only completed about 40% of the game. (and that really ticked me off as I was expecting more to the game after the final battle.)

77 hours was my final count, I tried to complete everything. Missed a few quests that I got on my second play, which was 44 hours.

My first run was 56 hours.

I purposely skipped a lot of the sidequest and the DLC to save them for my future run. I believe I only unlocked about 30% of the overall game.

Why should I read a walkthrough before I play a game? It would spoil so much of the fun.  After my first playthrough I get curious though what  Imissed and check it out. I actually think most people do it like that. So nothing fishy or unusual about that imho.

Well, would need to see prove for that....and probably even then I would doubt you played on nightmare, since monster killing took a long time for me even on "hard". Of course I would also doubt that it would have been your first playthrough and that you played without cheats.

A bit over 70 hours, hard difficulty. I got an achievement for doing 75% of the side-quests, but that was right before finishing the game, so there were some quests left undone. I played a human rogue myself, used Alistair as a tank, Wynne as a healer (switched Morrigan for her pretty early), and Sten who got replaced by Oghren quite late in the game when I finally went to Orzammar.

I didn't skip dialogue, and I read many of the Codex entries, but combat must've taken a good chunk of that time nevertheless. All the characters had their tactics AI turned off, and I directed them all manually, pausing a lot. That's how I like to play, and I found the difficult level to be just right. I Didn't have the whole party die often, but got one or two characters knocked unconscious in the more difficult fights. The tactics system looks interesting, so I might try to play with self-made scripts on some other character later on.

@jebu: Looks like you took a shortcut most of the times, e.g.sacrificing Isolde instead of getting help from the circle, not going to prison, didn´t fight the high dragon, etc. Well that leaves a lot of things to do for a second playthrough though.

It took 50 hours for me, strangely enough, I got the 75% side quests achievement pretty early, but codex says I only finished 47% of the game. Couldn't find a single remaining quest before landsmeet, so I probably missed a fair chunk of the game. If only I could play for more than 20 mins without freezing...

73 hours. Human Noble Warrior ended level 21. Normal difficulty, no cheats or walkthroughs used. Didn't bother with revisiting area's for chests and codex entries. Read nothing from the codex whatsoever, so missed almost every codex started quests. Except for Topsider's and Asunder.

Lots of reloading went on in the start tho, really had to get used to the combat system. Second playthrough was 55 hours (mage :P) with way more quests completed. But due to my characters development (RP ftl) I keep on closing down optional quests, vendors and rewards. Doh.

Oh, might want to mention I played on the PC ofc. Since I heard Consoles are ez-mode. Commence fanbois

73 hours on Hard, with a 2-handed warrior. Did almost everything I could find; 94 percent explored.

You people who are finishing it in ~20 hours...why? You're given a huge, epic experience that's unfortunately rare in single-player games, and you do your best to blitz through it as fast as you can? It's like being served a delicious steak and shoving it down your throat as fast as you possibly can.

On subsequent playthroughs where I'm skipping sidequests/dialogue I could see getting it down to ~30-35 hours. Which is still about as long as my leisurely-paced, do-every-sidequest Mass Effect playthrough.

The percentage of the world explored is a better stat to see how much of the game you have finished.

In the end I had 96% for world explored (got "traveler" achievement), but only 60% of game content.

I actually think the game content percentage is just connected to the amount of achievements you got.

Personnaly, I didn't finished the game yet, i'm playing with 5 caracters, trying to get all the possible content. Many quest start with the codex, like the long invocation run around one. Making different choice with my caracters, one get the werewolf, another the elves an so on. About 58% of the game completed. Over 200hrs of play so far, once i reach the what i think the final stage I start another caracter, i can't see the end ;-)
