So, I'm playing my last ME1 playthrough for a while and I'm attempting ot get as many Paragon and Renegade points as possible.

So far, I have used neither the Lorik Quinn glitch nor the Elentaia paijak glitch.

I'm well past 80% Renegade, but haven't reached 80% Paragon yet.

I haven't recieved "The Negotiation" assignment from Hackett.

Is there any other way I can trigger this? I'm basically tapped on morality points (just 2 assignments left, then Virmire, then off to Ilos)?

Thanks in advance!

You should still be able to get at least one of the mission before Ilos. And unlocking the other one requires you to have 90% in your other bar (Paragon in this case) compared to 80%.

Also, there are a few missions and assignments you can do where you are at to increase your score, but it will be tough. I've only done it once, getting both unlocked and that was a long while back.

And DLC can bring the requirement up, slightly harder to get to 80%.

And have you used these to help? masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Morality

And there are some helpful tips here too: masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:UNC:_The_Negotiation

Yes.
No matter what, the mission SHOULD unlock after 80% of your respecitve morality meter fills up.
I got past 80 on renegade: no message/call from Hackett.
I only have 75% paragon, so it's not that I need 90% to unlock it.
I think the game glitched me at the worst, most frustrating time, since I was playing the game mostly renegade JUST to get that mission.

I didn't get the Negotiation mission until my bar was like 85% full, and I was only 20% paragon. You might need to get renegade points in whatever assignments/missions you have left before Ilos and it should unlock.

I think in reality it's 80% of total points available, not 80% of the bar. You can get more paragon/renegade points than the bars indicate. I filled the renegade bar up in both games way before the ends, but was still able to rack up a bunch more Renegade points even after filling it up.

I'm trying to get both though...

I figured it WOULD be possible, and it should be, but the only thing is I wanted to romance Liara and that isn't possible if you don't recruit her in the first half of the game.

And, getting both missions aren't possible unless you leave Therum for last.

UNLESS you use a glitch.

And, since the LQ glitch is seen ot have negative effects, that leaves the one on Elentania.

Anyway, I'm mad b/c I was going to make it work, and it feels like the game "lied to" me.  Posted Image

I did not use the glitch either and I got both morality quest unlocked at 85%(275 points). The 80% and 90% rule on the wiki seems to be incorrect.

I reached 85% on Virmire so I got both quest after the ship lockdown.

Y'all are gonna love this.
So, I figure I'll take my chances and try to get The Negotiation after the lockdown (sometimes woks, sometimes doesn't).
I use the Pyjak glitch on Elentania to max out my Paragon stats.
I leave and Hackett gives me the Besieged Base assignment.
Once I get into THAT system, he comes back and gives me The Negotiation; which is only supposed to unlock after you get 90% of your renegade bar full. I have it barely over 80%

bioware laughs at us daily. daily. good thing they make original games with great story and re-playablility cuz mass effect 1/2/3, jade empire, kotor 1/2 are vastly the most glichy games i have ever played. others games i have played are the halo series, the forza series, the gran tourismo series, gears of war series, and games similar could be the final fantasy series - all have hardly any glitches in comparison. In our beloved bioware's defense, they do make games with huge variance in user game play depending on choice. Im assuming the great change capable in their games leads to the glitchs as its harder to predict all out comes in the coding.

Thats the long of it - the short of it, the reason why we love their games is why they are so glitchy
