Which Geth kill innocents? Only the heretics are hostile. The original Geth don't venture beyond the Perseus Veil, with the exception of Legion.
And the Quarians tried to kill an entire race. A synthetic one, but a race nonetheless.

For the genophage, I want it at the very least to be modified so that it *prevents* pregnancies, rather than producing stillborn children. The trauma that causes for the parents is too much. Preferably, I'd like it cured, but only once the krogan become more responsive to Wrex's plan, and unified.

The Geth kill everything, without exception. The without exception part is what basically puts them in the wrong. It isn't just the Heretics that are hostile.

When does that ever happen in the game? If you listen to what Legion tells you, when you meet him in ME2, that is literally the first time Shepard has encountered a Geth who was not a Heretic.
Every Geth encountered in both games (except Legion) is a Heritic. The real Geth havn't been seen in 300 years.
Unless you mean that people who invade their territory are killed. Because I'm pretty sure if you flew your ship uninvited into Turian or Salarian space, you'd be destroyed there too.

You have something to back that up?, with the exception of legion the geth do not venture beyond the veil, only the heretics kill without exception, any geth that have encountered other species have been immediatly fired on, probably for your reasoning, they are machines and therefore not to be trusted.Sweawm wrote...

Yeah, not sure what people are talking about here. It's fine to have an opinion about the Geth, but let's base it on facts.

As for the genophage, it needs to GTFO.

Not her you need to be worried about. I kind of like Han'Gerrel, but he's going to lead that fleet to it's doom if Shep doesn't stop him.

I can't be bothered to argue. Let's just say it's my opinion and I will kill the Geth! You can't stop my Geth-killing playthrough.

Han'Gerrel is not a fanatic, it's obvious his views can be changed, Xen on the other hand "I want to return the geth to their rightfull masters!"; that's cause for concern.izmirtheastarach wrote...

The quarians tried to systematically exterminate the entire geth. That is the definition of genocide. Therefore my shepard is going to side with the geth.

Right, I'm aware, I just didn't get the "lololol genocide :D" part. They didn't do it for sh*ts and giggles, they did it out of paranoia. And I'm not vouching for the quarians at all, I think they're both idiots.Abirn wrote...

Siding with the Geth completely will likely result in another genocide.

It was never clearly defined whether the Geth on Aite or the Alarei were Heretics, and the Geth on Haestrom were defintely from the Heretic Collective seeing that Legion couldn't simply communicate with them to cease attacking. Though, I wonder why the True Geth never intervened when the Heretics were blasting apart Haestrom in an attempt to kill the Quarians and later Shepard's team. The fact that they simply really are that bothered, or wouldn't risk war with the Heretics anyway?
And no: there is no such thing as being uninvited in Council Space. At worse; you would be arrested, not destroyed.

The Geth found in both place had to be Hereitics. Neither Cerberus nor Tali went beyond the Perseus veil to obtain specimens, and any Geth on our side of it were Heretics. That seems like simple logic to me.
Why the Geth wouldn't intervene I assume, is because they thought they would be attacked by the Quarians. How would they be able to tell the difference between True Geth and Heritics. They are not even aware that the Heretics exist.
To the last part, I meant if an uncontacted race entered Turian or Salarian space. That did happen, and the result was the First Contact War.
