Let me start of by saying that I thoroughly enjoy the multiplayer part. I'm rank 54 at the moment.

However one thing that annoys me to no end, this happens every now and then:

We start a game with 3 players, we go about our business and get through some waves.
Then suddenly a 4th player joins(awsome feature btw, sexy that they can just drop in)
The problem is however that this player, apparantly has a rubbish connection.
This then causes the game to immediatly start lagging like crazy completely ruining the game.

We really need to be able to tell a persons ping and be able to evict them from a game, it utterly sucks especially when your in the later levels of a silver/gold match.
I'm playing the pc version.

It's a demo. Chances are, a lot of this kind of thing will be repaired in the full game (hopefully). We've already been told that additional MP features will be in the final release.

I would agree. Biggest problem with the demo is getting dropped out of the game do to other peoples lag, and not getting any experience/credits because of this.

Bump for great justice. This didn't get the attention it deserves.

I really, really, really doubt something as under-the-hood as netcode is going to see an update between the demo and release. Especially considering the game is already gold.

That said I haven't witness this issue myself, although sometimes the game just hangs on "loading".

Log some more hours =) It's bound to happen.

Earlier today I was playing with some friends of mine. And whoever was the leader/host wouldn't get their powers when entering the mission. They where simply removed from all the action bars.
Happened in every game. They had to quit and rejoin the game to get them back.

Don't get your hopes up. Multiplayer isn't really in the focus of ME3, it's very likely that other than some maps/weapons DLC MP is gonna be left the way it is.

In other words ME3 is heavily SP game, after release they aren't gonna spend any money on developing MP features in any major way(like better netcode, servers etc.). Actualyl what usually happens is that once MP player numbers fall below certain point, they shutdown all servers and its byebye MP.

That would be a terrible shame, I could easily see myself logging more hours in MP than the SP.

THIS happens to me all the time. Especially, it seems, when I play my infiltrator.

Its annoying as hell and makes the character esentially unplayable.

Yeah =) suddenly the game gets a lot harder. They should implement it as platinum difficulty.

MP will NEVER restrict a player due to their connection.
If they did, they would lose more then half of their Online players.

Loss of players= loss of money. EA says HELL NO to this idea.
Just look at GoW,CoD or any MP. They simple do not care how laggy a room may become,as long as they have made some type of money. Also it would cost them money to implement a server that could separate the good from the bad. Even if it was a 50$ system they would never do it. It is just simple to let anybody play with anybody while making your money. Who cares if a player complains about lag, they can find a new room etc.

Well if they don't do something about it then they will have a ****storm once this game really rolls out.

Yea like GoW3 promising dedicated servers after GoW2...
Now many months into it,there are still numerous laggy player hosted rooms...

After the game is out and has made them money, why would they care about ppl lagging?
That's on the consumers & users. I have 2 separate internet connections in my house.
The one in the front for my network of cpu's,is a 16-20 meg fiber optic connection.

After years of laggy online gaming,I have downgraded the Cox Cable modem in my gaming to room to just 3 megs. Direct connect 3 meg Cable modem,is still putting the majority of Online gamers to shame.

With routers, wireless, and just garbage dsl connections, lag will always be apart of Online MP.
Bandwidth being strained on there end makes them slower on your end,in turn dropping the entire room. It's also on the host's connect. One connect is to slow to keep up and the other is trying to compensate for it. Hence it's why you see some ppl glitchy, eating 4 or more shots,or just shooting air and getting kills. Skill & competitive play has been excluded from MP versus. It's all lag and bs.
