Calling it like an MMO is silly, otherwise you can wrangle just about anything with multiplayer and a leveling system as an MMORPG to some degree, just like you can call most anything with a leveling system an RPG on some level.
As time has gone on the lines of hard and fast definitions of genres have blurred alot and complaining that something has elements or seems like something else in a related genre is just silly.
OMG ME3 has shooting! It is so similar to Quake!
ME3 has third person combat! OMG SIMILAR TO GEARS OF WAR!
ME3 has RPG elements! OMG SIMILAR TO MMORPG!
Obviously bioware is making a quake gears of war MMORPG!
Absurd logic is absurd.
