Hey guys, I need soemone elses eyes on this.

This is my Femshep from ME2 (imported her into a new game to get the screenshot):Image IPB

This is the same face code in ME3 demo:

Is it my eyes, or does the ME3 version look inferior to the ME2? My ME2 Shep looks more realistic, natural and I gotta say when I ran he through the opening levels of the demo, the ME3 face animations on the imported version were...well...pretty wierd.

My cannon MaleShep imported perfectly to ME2 with improvements, but this looks like its gone backwards in quality.

Anyone else finding the same or are my eyes just broken?

The ME3 versions looks quite a bit better, imo.

They look pretty much the same. Lighting is different so really hard to say. What ME3 did wrong you can see in the game itself. They added facial lines that were probably supposed to support facial expressions but really look weird and ruin any face.

well It's odd, now I look at it in ME2 it has almost a plastic sheen to the skin. Like a waxwork perhaps. ME3 on the other hand looks too matt.

I think it would need something inbetween.

edit: saying that, the post above does point out the obvious that the lighting is different.

Yeah, I found any femshep I made looked way better in me2 :\\
Me3 custom femsheps are much more idk, drab and plain looking. Glassy eyes and all so grumpy - always frowning slighty. Yes I know it's the end of the world and all, but still.

Well the plastic sheen can be considered sweat. That's why people use makeup when they go to TV shows so they don't ... um ... 'shine' like that.

At least yours looks remotely like one another. Mine is totally different. Doubtful you could say they are even related.

This

Most of my Femsheps got improvements ranging from small to huge; some of them finally shows expressions in ME3, when in ME2 they look like plastic figurines

The ME2 version looks like a creepy lifeless plastic barbie doll.

The ME3 version looks mighty fine. She actually looks like a person here.

So yeah: ME3 > ME2

I like the new CC more. The skin has more texture than the smooth version of mass effect 2.

ME3 looks much better, especially her eyes. The ME2 one looks like she's forcing them wide open O_O

It's not your eyes. Many people have pointed out that the CC makes FemSheps look...off.

It generally improves BroSheps, however.

If anything, I definitely think her features look softer in ME3. Whether that's better or not is up to you, I guess.

Make the nose a little larger and move up the eyes a tad, her forehead has gotten bigger, I think that's the problem.

The code in ME3 are different. If you want your FemShep to look exactly like her ME2 version then you'll have to import her when the actual game comes out.

ME2 looks like a plastic doll, ME3 looks like a clay figure.

Its a step up, if nothing else.

Well it's an unfortunate choice of comparison shots since the lighting in ME3's CC is much smoother and more gentle.

But I feel your pain. While the actual threedimensional features of my FemShpe remained the same in the demo, the texture changes - especially around the eyes - make her look very weird at times.
Add to that a couple of scenes with very hard lighting / strange facial animation / blotchy textures and ... let's say I'm not happy.

I hope those problems will be smoothed a bit in the full product. Would be a shame if our enjoyment of what otherwise looks like a fantastic game were to be deminished by this...

Your at least looks similair. I don't see any similiarities when I use my ME2 code in the demo...

...but after about 10 tries I've managed to get to a point where I'm more or less satisfied that it looks like the same person. I just hope that when you import a ME2 save in ME3 it doesn't just use the face code but somehow transfers the face from ME2.

Ah, I was wondering about this. Certainly would explain the differences.
