I am curious. I have not seen anybody ask for Rachni as a playable character.
Are we that small of a group, those of us that want them ingame?

I know. Sad. What about that 3 eyed race we fought in ME2? The baracai? Baratam? So many races that I think would fit great. Who knows? Maybe as DLC.

As it stands.. I am in love with this coop shooter portion even when I play it solo.
I hope they take full advantage and add different modes, races.. Here's to dreaming

I don't think it'd be possible - the player animations rely on their character being bipedal (as in two arms, two legs). That wouldn't work for a Rachni.

Things like Geth or Batarians or even Vorcha would be possible though. Possibly even Volus.

I see. Bipedal animations. Too bad there are no standing upright Rachni's.

It wouldn't really work, Bioware would have to create a whole new gameplay experience just for the Rachni, and that would take to long and be a waste of time. So they just stick with the more human shaped races with four limbs, tallish etc.

Plus a lot of people don't have friendly rachni in their ME universes, so having one join them in combat would be quite weird and jarring for them. Same with the geth.
