Lol *bows.

Though I shan't take too much credit as it's more of an educated guess than wild one given the forum and the topic. Plus I haven't even played the mp with other people yet and I can already tell Vanguards be getting dem kills.

Not that it matters, as has been repeatedly explained in this thread. All XP is pooled and doled out to the entire team. There is no "kill stealing." The faster you kill everything, secure objectives, and clear the map, the better everyone's rewards will be. People need to stop being counter-productive, passive-aggressive, "VANGUARD STOLE MAH KILLS" whiners.

Lol I think you quoted the wrong person...

I already know that, and expressed what I think about this thread and its title in my previous post.

@ OP

I completely agree with you, playing as a vanguard. I'm MORE than willing to let my 'mates sweat out whatever they engaged, provided they aren't going to get 86-ed biting off more than they can chew.

...Because then it becomes my problem. Co-op is not JUST riding your partner's rear unless they need they help. It's oftentimes trusting in their ability to handle their sector and engage and fold oncoming enemies. If an ally doesn't hold their section of the line, what good are they to you when you have to babysit. Communication and situational awareness is required of teams, but I don't buy into riding one another unless you've agreed on holding a position.

I do not agree with you here why?
I don't see it that way when I get with my mates at silver+ challange.

The problem is that for an example a Soldier simply isent that good against a Phantom or turret for that matter, there you need to team up or help eachother. Yes you have to trust there abilitiys yes but then its easyer if you is in a chat together.

But we use the 2 on 2 groups then we have a little group holding a place or definding an area. But a lone Wolf isent that great as we have been playing.

I do understand what you meen but not that if they cant hold the area they are no good, it might often be that they dont have what it takes to easely take down the enemy.

I do agree that you shouldent run all over the place.

Take the Central building in Firebase Ghost. Two overlooking the back alley, one overlooking the connecting building, and one watching the back ramp and the ladder. Each individual gets a "Killzone" and if they require assistance with some bigger enemies, one person (Or two depending on each individual's situation.) can move to assist. No one is directly interfering with another, and each person is independant.

Lone-wolfing isn't recommended, but if they cannot watch and/or defend a position, or don't know when to call for help, they're not doing their job, not helping the team.

A group of independant players can fan out and engage the enemy if they know how to play their class. I'd refer you to some of the gold runs we've done, but I don't have any ability to capture/show you. :(

Probably, i've never been a Vanguard for more than couple of minutes (i hate this class since ME2). My rage was not aimed at my friend for trying to help me (personally, since he's a Vanguard, i think he just selfishly charged at the enemy to steal the kill), it was aimed at the killstealing.

First of all, there's no such thing as "kill stealing." You get the same XP and cash as him, and if you did most of the work, you get more points for the assist. But secondly - and this is important - you don't know why he charged. I cannot tell you how many times I've charged in and taken the final hit of "someone else's" kill, but it was only because I NEEDED to refill my shields, and that's the badguy I saw.

Sorry, but that's just the nature of the class. Charging is how we stay alive. Now those damn Krogans... that's a different story :D

It might be me that is not a good enough player yet to truly understand that you can do that on gold. I havent played gold yet with my mates, might also be that my highest level is 15 and trying them all to find the one I like playing.

My Krogan Soldier can kill alot, he is level 10 if I remember correctly and I wouldent like running by my self when there is phantoms. Most others is no problem for the soldier krogan.

But I would like to se some fotage of gold and a soldier, cuz as I sayed it might just be because I am not a good enough player to see it yet.

But for me I love that I am dependent of others to do the harder challanges so it trully becomes Teamplay.

But in some PuG or what you call it I hear that frag stealer and I just have to say if you walk together and help eachother it will happen. And in PuG you cant be as efficient as in a group you have been playing with for a loong time.

But I hope getting to Gold soon. Then I can see maby what you meen.

Don't hate the Vanguard. They may very well be saving your life in many situations. My Adept only carries the Phalanx to maximize recharge bonus. I have a Phantom coming at me, my Phalanx is overheating, Warp at its fastest takes about 2.86 seconds to recharge, and my barrier is down. All of a sudden, a ball of blue light shoots across the map and takes the Phantom to the ground. It just depends on the player.

I agree with most of the posts here.

My rage was inducted by being new to this whole "cooperative" gameplay - a word i did not knew, no matter what i've played. So, at the beggining here, it was annoying to see all my work being wasted, because someone else took the last shot. Seeing that i'm getting gold medals for assists and bronze/silvers for kills was just insulting to me, and after five-ten-fifteen matches like that i just snapped and went into a nerd rage.

Now it's much more fun. I've adjusted pretty well, and unlocking Krogan Soldier helped me a lot. With the support of one of my best friends, who plays either adept or guardian i take down easily most enemies, and i'm also quite liked in the team for being able to take down Phantoms with one melee hit, and succesfully being able to kill an atlas on my own without using precious rockets. I especially like covering my friends when they forget to look behind themselves and walk into a group of enemies - couple of melee hits + Claymore saves them every time.

That said - MP is a lot of fun here, although it may be difficult to adjust at the beggining. You just need to find a role that fits you and fill it the best way you can.

I feel safer when there's a Vanguard around :) If this was competitive MP I'd probably be yelling profanities in the chat but since this is co-op, the main goal is to just survive and finish the damn map.
