You migh actually want to read the thread and realize we are proposing an alternative, which your squadmates already use.CerberusSoldier wrote...
game play is better and if that means the stupid funtion that makes no sense at all is gone so be it. I care about game play if you like standing there and looking at stuff well you can do it in non comabt areas . its only logical I have my gun out while in combat . wow even when a developer explains why people still will not accept it .
The fact that you keep pointing that pistol straight ahead all the time does not look silly to you? Does your Shepard have some sort of arm fixtures to keep him from inevitably lowering the weapon under the influence of gravity?
Using an existing animation to fix that goes against your sensibilities?
Make it work like holstering without needing to load the unarmed animations into memory.

This thread is too important to get off track with this nonsense. Let's keep it on topic, who knows, maybe they will do something.

I kinda wish they'd put grenades back on the Back button like in ME1, given us another option for powermapping and not just Y and the shoulder buttons.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
As far as I know, the Back button is basically useless this time around and might as well not be there.sp0ck 06 wrote...
Its not like the back button is doing anything atm anyway?

Its a bad idea and no its not good at all you all need to learn to deal with what the game has
What is so bad about being able to not stand outstreched with your weapon all the time? Nothing since your squadmates are already doing it and you do it when you hit a wall.
Read the thread and realize we aren't taking away your precious barrel roll with this suggestion.
What you need to do is to understand that this a suggestion which people hope will be patched in and you can't stop people from making threads like this by being an ass.

Oh you really don't want me to be a true ass because I can certainly do that . I never was saying anything about stoppin threads like this but the idea is stupid in any form .

There is nothing stupid about it. Nothing. What's stupid about not holding your gun straight ahead of you when you aren't aiming at an enemy.CerberusSoldier wrote...

You seem to be scared that it would take away your combat rolls. That's not the purpose of this thread. The purpose is to give an alternative to holstering, one we hope doesn't actually meet with the same limitations the holstering was faced.

Ok, you don't support any suggestions about weapon holstering, we get that. But you keep on posting the same stuff again and again and again in both threads, regardless of the fact that you are a lone voice of dissent. The vast number of people here are in support of the suggestions.
Using terms like "you cry babys" to describe the people contributing to this thread stretches my ability to remain civil with you, however I will attempt to remain so as flame wars will not help this cause.
Do you not think that arguing against a thing that most people want, and would not really affect you personally is maybe a bit selfish?
You know very well that a weapon holstering function, or weapon-lowering function such as the one suggested here) would not adversely affect you in any way whatsoever, yet you persist in smashing your head against a brick wall, spouting your tireless rebuttal. Your only argument seems to take the form of: "I don't like it, therefore neither should you"
Frankly (and I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking this) I am starting to find it tiresome. There's such a thing as making your point and then moving on.
