So in preperation for ME3, I was hoping to do a complete runthrough of both games. I've played through ME1 and 2 numerous times on my xbox but i wanted to swap to pc for 3. I just bought Mass Effect 2 for my pc, but not 1, so I tried using this website that my friend directed me to (Masseffecsaves.)
Problem is, it keeps telling me to save the file to the Mass Effect Save folder, which is impossible since I don't have that game. Basically I'm wondering if there's a way to work around that so I can access a complete shephard to start off in 2. I'm basically retarded when it comes to computers so I may have missed a crazy easy step, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Using Masseffectsaves.com when you don't have Mass Effect 1

In YourDocuments\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save you'll find a folder named ME1. You only have to put that Char_blahblahblah file (the character file you downloaded from masseffectsaves.com) into this folder, without using the config utility. ME2 will find this character when you begin a new game importing a ME1 Shepard.
