Vanguards devestating all does not sound like team work. 

And they are definitley not tanks. short distractions maybe, but not a tank as their actual survivability is horrible and the alien options for the class are 2 of the squishiest races in the game.

Krogans and Sentinels are tanks if anyone can be attributed to that role in this game. 

Vanguards devastating all is the Vanguard's job... and it's team work if the team is doing their job as well.

So a vanguard doing all the killing and having all the fun is it's class role and the other classes role are merely cover? to make sure the idiot dosen't get hit as much or to make sure it's easier for him to nova everything?

I have simply challenged your idea of Infilly ****** play. You seem to think that snipers are easy mode when compared to the vanguard charge spammer build, and all they have to do is point and shoot from the same spot the whole match and will be able to top the charts by simply doing that. 


The only reason i got back involved in this forsaken thread is because of your ludicrous suggestion that playing a vanguard requires higher reflexes and reaction speed than playing the infilly.

unless your quick scoping then what do you do that involves SOOOOOO much in terms of reaction speeds and fast reflexes.

More than spamming charge then running away or hipfiring your shotgun at anything thats in your LoS. 

what like cloaking and taking time line up your shot on a clueless stationary target. how about you give a reason instead of attacking vanguards. i think your talking out your ass so high on your neck(tehee get it pun not intended)you can't admit that another class might do/have something better than your precious infiltrator its pathetic.

How many targets are stationary? If they are it's because they're behind cover which requires you to shoot the top quarter of the head for the kill. 
And i don't play the infilly hardly at all and is not precious to me. But you do realize other classes can be snipers right? and you do realize you can still be hurt by grenades and crossfire bullets while in cloak right? you can't just go stand in the middle of the battlefield next to some grunt and shoot him in the head point blank. 

Maybe you should try something out other than your precious Vanguard to get a more complete view of things, because if you think being a ranged character is nothing but lining up head shots and ranking up kills you've obviously never played one. 


Btw the only characters that are precious to me are my krogan soldier and my turian sentinel.

Sorry but I am smarter than that and know I can best help out by racking up headshot after headshot from a safe sniper haven that has cover, ammo and a good view of most of the map. My class isn't designed to stand toe to toe against packs of mobs, and realistically yours isn't either.

I hate Vanguards and melee centric Soldiers who charge into packs of mobs and make them constantly run around. Once they do that it's harder to hit them whereas if the player stayed back the mobs would stop moving around so much making them much easier to pick off.

Every class has synergy with Infiltrators except Vanguards who are the vinegar to our oil.

Now your just an obvious liar.

You've never lured an enemy. it dosen't work that way it's not an MMO. They have guns and will shoot you, then you will die. or that sniper will take it down long before it reaches from his "off in the distance camping spot" if your overtly just dancing around it giving it attention. 


And snipers are more likley to be working with the group than a vanguard is. In most games all 3 of the players are going to be bunkered down at the begging of a wave while the vanguard is off doing his lone wolf thing like you have admitted in the past

Doing rounds around the map? Maybe YOU should stick to single player. and stop getting mad that the sniper is killing things rather than watch you charge around doing all the work?

Obviously the one with butthurt is one of the types that only has the skill to sit back and shoot at unaware targets while the rest of the team is keeping them occupied.

And since you may have not known, you can take cover in this game when people are shooting at you.

I must be a bad vanguard then, because from the human vanguards skill tree it looks like they are suppose to distract enemies from the flanks while classes like soldier and infiltrator put rounds down range.

Thats how i play my vanguard, i stray from the team...but my purpose is always to get the enemy to look at me or to push the mobs into LoS for the team.

IMO a vanguards job isnt to go rambo and chain spam charge+nova but to keep the team from getting surrounded and flanked.which i try my best to do.

I don't want to get in the middle of this, but yeah. Phantoms have nasty hand blasters. There's no chance in hell that you could kite one around for very long.

As far as Infiltrators go, I don't really have a spot to "perch". I go where I am needed, or where the enemies are thickest. We're all on the same team, and I'm not playing for score. So if I put the high velocity sniper projectile through an enemy that may be already engaged, it's nothing personal. I shoot stuff until the red bar dwindles to nothing because I want our team to be successful.

There are no bad classes, just bad people. Even Vanguards bring something to the group dynamic. So long as I don't have to pick up if they're slacking, then we're good.

Vanguards are High Risk, High Reward. I love the class, but see to many people who don't get how teamwork works. They Charge off into a group of several people (with a turret nearby) and are downed, then complain that no one comes to revive them. Attack with your team and focus on the annoying ones (like Nemisis) You are not some lone super hero, you are part of a group.

Infiltrators are my favourite class (have been since ME1), but anyone whose saying they require more "skill" than playing a vanguard well are kidding themselves. Infiltrators, especially in ME3 it seems, dont really have much to worry about. Most I've seen can sit back, get kills, and rush in for revives under cloak. Theres really not much risk at all involved, and sniping in ME has always been low-tier difficulty. Whereas everytime a vanguard charges, theres big risk to get overwhelmed, and only vanguards who know what theyre doing get through even silver rounds without getting downed. Fact is, if a vanguard on your squad is getting killed way off in the middle of nowhere, theyre NOT A GOOD VANGUARD. Complaining about bad vanguard players who get stranded is like complaining about infiltrators who camp the main latter on Noveria. Thats a playstyle error, not a class error.

Eh my Vanguard Human is for zipping over to fallen allies and then Nova/revive before they get stomped. Other then that it's sniper assault mostly. My Vanguard Drell is for pulling shields away from guardians and cluster grenading Atlas' so we don't waste missiles. I suck at both these classes anyways though and don't use them often.
