Funny thing I had my first ragequit yesterday too... I was in team with 3 (yes, THREE) Vangards. By the time my Singularity / Pull reached the enemy they were dead...

This a team game? Yeah. But pardon me, I play for joyment, and seeing 3 of my teammates "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"-kill everything (reference to the retarded sound human male vanguards make all the time) is everything but fun... And also getting half of the XP they get because I can't f*cking do anything isn't fun either.

I hate the good Vanguards as much as the bad ones.

Why?  B/c whenever I play with one I'm left to do clean up and I feel useless.

As a vanguard, my attitude in group changed a lot since release.

In the demo I soloed gold so team mates were just getting in the way and stealing my fame.
But now, banshees changed all that, so even if I can solo cerberus and geth in gold, I still need my team to take care of those banshees.

can't get past wave 8 on solo gold vs reapers :x

oc I'm playing human vanguard and I got to say half nova is a lot of fun

Why hate vanguards so much? you blame all the loses on he vanguard getting killed first yet fail to praise his work as crowd disruptors, if not for he vanguard playing bait your possision would be compromised/rushed before long, respect the vanguard for jumping at the enemy to keep you safe and being the most capable of reaching your position when you are about to get rushed.

Respect vanguards, we don't want you to rush and save us, we DO that, you clean the enemies first and save us only if you can.

Groups that have a vanguard fail because they are used to have the vanguard take all the pressure off their backs and when the vanguard is gone they ail fail to adapt to the harsher conditions.

I don't hate vanguards or any other class but... THINK dammit.

The more you run around the bigger are the chances that someone will get swarmed and/or the enemies will spawn behind you or others.

I tried the human vanguard. It's ridicolous, it didn't require any skill at all even on silver to just completely decimate a squad of, well, anything. You just spam two keys and that's it. It was also very fun to do a biotic charge + nova on those low-hp enemies that my teammates saw so much effort to weaken... probably for me! I loved to have 10000 more xp than the others by the end of the game so that I could level up faster :)

Then it seriously got boring, and I changed to another class.

Seriously though, it's fun at first but after a while it begins to get boring. Besides, I'd take any other class over vanguard any time, as vanguards are pretty much useless when it comes to doing the objectives while under pressure of the big enemies. Any other class can do this "oh-so-precious" crowd control if they just know how to fire a damn gun. And the other classes actually have proper powers to help with the enemy tanks.

Well, the thing is that vanguards have two types: those who can actually use the class, and those who use it and abuse it for the charge ability and firearm power. Now MOST Vanguards, despite what they may say, do not know how to use the class.

For example, I was in a game with two vanguards, one had only a carnifex and the other only a scimitar, and all they did was use charge and nova constantly, I bet they didn't fire more than three rounds apiece that game. Then they went down, and with only my sentinel and my teammates infiltrator left we lost because they had zipped right in between two geth primes.

I've started taking stats of Vanguards I've played with and so far I've gotten this:

3 Days
172 Vanguards
12 knew how to play and use the Vanguard EFFECTIVELY and 160 did NOT

So taking those stats we have about a 1 to 20 ratio of effective vanguards versus spammer/idiot/I just bought his game and don't know how to play Mass Effect style vanguards

certain vanguards are good, on anything below gold difficulty the only time to kick a vanguard is if they're rolling two heavy weapons that kill their recharge speed. on gold, if the class isn't going to fit into your full-clear team design, they're getting kicked.

You all get the same xp no matter what, get over yourself.  every one of their kills adds to your overall gain at the end of the match, same with credits.  Kill stealing doesn't exist in this, if your team is obsessed with kills and not with completion you're doing it wrong.

Or how about being a decent human being and explaining the tactic, or asking them to change classes before just kicking them.

You know, to not be a scumbag?

If you are using powers to deal damage, especially Warp or Overload, then a Shock-Guard (Vanwave?)actually is really effing useful.
