To OP:
Mass Effect is an RPG game. Don't forget that.

Which is no excuse for inferior gameplay.

It certainly allows for slight discrepancies when ME has an entirely different focus than an out and out shooter.

Even so, the cover system and other things shouldn't really be as bad as they are. It's still fun don't get me wrong but it's blatenly inferior in that regard. Just think of how fun it would be if those issues were improved upon! I see ME3 becoming GOTY easy then. Or at the very least giving a big comeback to their name after how bad DA2 tanked.

I'm no fan of GoW tried the demo for it and hated it. Can't choose gender when playing, can't be in control of your conversations. Not my type of game.

However the whole rolling when trying to take cover or trying to run and rolling in ME3 demo sucks and needs to be fixed. Change the roll button to another one. Hell put it on the B button for the 360. The B button is used for melee attacks. So if you pressed B and the joystick in a certain direction, bam instant roll away from enemy. That free's up the A button to be used for taking cover or running around. This makes for easier game play over all.

Seriously Bioware fix this problem please!

The only thing that needs to be changed is mapping revive to another button (say, X like in GoW).
Apart from that, the buttons for the cover system are fine, and I do not want rolling mapped to another of the whopping two buttons on a console controller.

You haven't played Gears, have you?

I hate people like you, judging stuff based on misinformation and incorrect assumptions.

ME3 is a *surprise!* a TPS , too.

Okay, I enjoyed GoW. I love Mass Effect. They are two TOTALLY different games. Mass Effect was never meant to be "like Gears." I don't know why you deem this comparison relevant.

I don't like the rolling in ME3. The character only moves 2 to 3 feet.

Gears is an entirely different game, the comparison has no ground to stand on. Let us avoid openly saying that we want a Gears clone, the last thing we would want is for Bioware to listen to that.

I actually do enjoy it more, and the enemy types, I find them more diverse. But maybe it's just me.

Even Gears of War has alternative control scheme, where you roll from other button and take cover from other.

And why would you want to change to inferior gender?
And the characters are already saying what they need to say! Ha-ah!

I didn't care for the characters in GOW3, therefore I didn't care for what they had to say, even more to the point, I never neven finished the main campaign but probably have played hundreds of hours of horde, lol. So to me, less sloppy combat on ME3 added with the great story we all know we are gonna get would. be. EPIC.

Because I'm a girl you moron! And female's aren't the inferior gender. We give birth which a typical male would not survive doing. We take care of hearth and home. We raise the kids more than the guys do. In fact I'd say women are superior as we can do anything you men can do. So don't go around saying women are inferior when in fact we do ten times more than men do and can still find enough time in the day to get even more done.

I got an IDEA for all you COMPLAINERS about the game.
LET THE GAME RELEASE BEFORE YOU BASH IT.

You guys played a Demo made for E3 "Before it was finalized to go." You should feel happy that you got to play it. Most companies would not even give you that. So I as far as majority of the people who play ME Series we don"t care how it is compared to your game fan rants till the date we play the finished game. Sorry for soap boxing

No!... there some things females are good at then men and there some things that men are good at then women.
Humans are inteligent creatures we can just about do anything or everthing... each gender is has its strenghs and weakness.... there for its better to stick to what your good at.

As much as I like Gears of war (I have played all of them a lot), ME2 and 3 from what I have seen in the demo are miles ahead in terms of gameplay.

Yes, GoW has better shooter gameplay in a way. What is there works brilliantly and is very polished and all that. My main complaint against GoW, however, is how it's all really the same after a while. I'm so sick of shooting and shooting and shooting and shooting with the same old guns the whole time. It just gets incredibly formulaic.

In ME, you can switch class and the gameplay changes radically. In my world this is just a huge advantage. The abilities are really fun too. Stuff like biotic charge and tactical cloak. GoW doesn't have anything that comes near it in terms of fun factor. Maybe for someone else, but not for me.

But really it isn't the same genre anyway. The ME games are a shooter-RPG mix. Gears is a shooter. It's a good shooter, but it's still just a shooter.

Gears of War is too bulky to me. Too many James Vega's running around.

I don't think it is applicable to compare the two. It is like comparing Halo and Call of Duty because they're both FPS with regenerative health.

There are some similarities but both have different designs and mechanics. Although I'd say Gears plays better than Mass Effect from a gameplay perspective. However Mass Effect is more fun though.

I had  a meatier post above. But arguments take up more space than one line, so nobody will ever read them.
