Which ones should i take?

Level 4
Increased Range or Duration
I went with the heavy singularity (higher duration) in ME2 because it worked well against shielded enemies, does it work the same way in the me3-mp?

Level 5
DoT or reduced cooldown
Is the DoT worth it? cooldown seems unnecessary since it is low already

Level 6
self-detonation or ???
I wont need the detonation since i use warp for this, but the description of the other one might have been translated (i am not playing the english version) wrong, it says that the size of the singularity will get increased by 35% for 10 seconds
How is that supposed work if the singularity does not even last 5 seconds, there is no change at the bars, what will it do?

Fitness
Any points left will go there, does it make sense to stop advancing singularity at level 5 or even 4?

EDIT: It's a male human adept (have not got asari yet).

Really, since its the demo, just take whatever. We're all going to be starting over anyway. That being said, the DoT is actually pretty good. I took that and the explosion in the final tree, and it lets me use singularity to just lock down a chokepoint while i destroy fools with warp and shockwave. The dmg isn't great, but it helps and you'll get a ton of assists and random kills.

@ncknck: Unless you have the luck to get alien races unlocked before you start playing you have to do a human. I know its sad, asari adept was planned since i have seen it on a screenshot months ago.

i'm also confused about the last evolution of singularity. i havn't noticed it auto explode on death, whatever that even means.

if you eventually unlock her she will be the same level as your human adept and you can just level her up!

I picked improved detonations for level 4, the DOT for level 5, and the "expanded" upgrade for level 6, because, as you said, the Singularity gets detonated long before it has a chance to expire.

I would say the improved detonations and the DOT are well worth getting. Rank 6 I might skip in the full game though. I haven't been able to notice how it works.

Ok, i took Level 4 increased range and Level 5 DoT and both seems to work very well.
The question remaining is that strange range increase option at level 6

What I like to do since its beta is pick the evolves that aren't simple. The ones that are like 30% more damage or 30% less recharge time, they are extremely obvious as to what they do.

Pick the ones that add special effects to it and try it out to see if you like them or not, if you don't notice a difference or don't like it, go for the simple ones.

I think it has to be bugged as i've never seen the deathsplosion.

If it wasn't singularity might be worth maxing out instead of just putting 2 points in, since the abilty sucks past bronze.

thats good advice. but it's very vague in the description...

thanks. do you know by any chance what the first skill is? expanding the field by 35% in terms of the radius? and does it also increase the time to 10 seconds?

Have just compared recordings of my Multiplayer lvl20 Human Adept with level 6 Singularity (Expand) and a Singleplayer Adept with level 1 Singularity.
The singularity of the multiplayer character appears to grow over time, which I think is down to Expand. So rather then a straight off 35% larger radius for 10 seconds, it grows for the first 10 seconds and then stays that (larger) size.

Also, the duration you see listed at the bottom bars is the Hold Duration. Unless cancelled, a Singularity appears to last for 15 seconds.

I've been wondering if the Detonation stacks with Warp Explosions myself.
If not, the last evolution of Singularity is very situational and I would consider putting the 6 points invested there somewhere else.

Many thanks. would be wise to skip the last evolution it seems.

I chose "Expand" and it's amazing. It gets really big. It may sound stupid...but I'd just choose it for the awesome visual effect.

A lot depends on your playstyle. I tend to explode singularities fairly soon after firing them off so duration doesn't benefit me much. If you like planting them in doorways and leaving them there obviously duration will be key.

I actually wish I hadn't evolved it past 4 (range).

Singularity 6th rank - detonation:
Singularity itself last around 15sec, if the singularity will last those 15 sec and naturally ends, then it will detonate for 300dam in area.

However you do not get the final singularity detonation, in case of the following events:
1. Biotic explosion -- using warp, throw and couple of other powers on lifted enemies.
2. Recasting another singularity
3. Protected enemy in singularity will cancel it without detonation.

In short: its probably the worst 6th evolution of power considering all powers in ME3.

Level 6 explosion works if you let the singularity end naturally. Which never bloody happens.

So level 6 singularity is probably not worth the points.

(So Level 5 singularity, level 6 warp, level 6 training, level 6 fitness, level 3 shockwave? cool.)

I picked self-detonation. It was a huge mistake.

I chose it too, and I absolutely love it. Even with Singularity's fast cooldown and +200% cooldown bonus, the cooldown is still long enough for it to nearly double in size, meaning that even if I detonate it immediately, I'm still getting a boosted radius. And allowing it to grow... Well, I've locked down spawn points with it more times than i can count.

Funny but I think the self-distruction means when you detonate it with biotic explosion it detonates also for its dmg around 5m. I can't agree that It only damages when it naturally ends.

Delta 57 Dash - you may find level 6 alliance training unnecessary. I put the points into shockwave instead - went for more damage I think. I guess it depends how often you use shockwave. Personally I use it quite a lot.

Self detonation I'm not sure about. All I can say is that anything red (full hp) dies from singularity + warp. Wether or not they take dmg from "self detonation" when you detonate with warp I can't say either or. (I was using self-detonation). As far as I recall, this is true for gold aswell.

The 35% increase in size over 10 seconds: basically the singularity grows and grows over a period of 10 seconds. I only tested this in singleplayer demo (the description was the same, as far as I know). The black hole grew to more than double the size (hard to measure cause it's spherical, but it doubled in radius for sure). It looked quite menacing :D

10 seconds.. not sure what 10 seconds means. Singularity usually lasts alot longer than 5 seconds. In multiplayer I would just throw it on the ground and wait and wait and wait for it to disappear. It might be different once it actually affects an enemy, but I'm not sure.

Which leads me to wonder if self-detonation is useless in the event that warp detonation doesn't trigger self-detonation aswell.
