Ultimate happy-end possible?

Regarding the new loyality-mechanics, with ship-mates reacting to your general decisions, will it be possible to earn the respect of all of them?
Like it was possible in ME2, when you chose one squadmate in one of their disputes, to talk with the other to regain it's loyality?
Will you be forced to sacrifice a race, or will you be able to secure every races survival?
Will the other homeworlds stay habitable?(Maybe in ruins, but rebuildable.)
I know, ME3 is about tough decisions, but after playing ME1, ME2 and soon ME3, I really like the ME-universe and would like to see it somewhat intact when I watch the epic ending of the trilogy.

Save your LI or save the transport carrying hundreds of refugees. A emotional choice vs.a moral/rational choice. Something like that.

No Shep-harem.
Therefore ultimate happy ending not possible.

^Thought that was for romances?
But I'd expect it'll just be a-typical Paragon/Renegade reactions rather than anything major.

I better hope so. I'm going to do every side mission possible and I want my Shepard to build that house with Tali on Rannoch.
Earth and the Quarians won't be happy with me, but hey, it's life.

Before ME2 came out, Bioware went on and on about THE SUUUUUUICIDE MISSION and how hard it would be to bring everyone back alive. Turns out, it was pretty simple to gain everyone's loyalty and bring them all back safe and sound. I assume the same will hold true this time.
A 1st run without meta gaming/wiki their statement held an element of truth

And yet, I didn't meta game my first run through and only lost one squaddie. I didn't think the suicide run was difficult at all. And I am by no means any kind of gaming guru. I just did as many of the side missions as I could, made sure I ran through everyone's loyalty mission to settle their "daddy" issues, upgraded everything I could get my hands on, etc., etc. I think anyone who bought all the hype about the supposed difficulty of the suicide mission did the same.
Then for the mission itself, it was patently obvious which crewmates were suitable for which jobs if you actually paid any attention to what they were good at and how good they were at those specialties - i.e. Legion and Tali were obvious tech experts and were the obvious choices to go deal with hacking doors in the ducts; For maintaining a large, long-term biotic bubble, you wanted to choose biotics with a lot of strength like either off-the-charts strong Jack or incredibly old and powerful Samara, the other biotic powerhouse. For leading fireteams, you wanted someone with actual experience leading people in tough combat situations - hello Garrus? or perhaps Zaeed although I never used him for that preferring to use him as my team beat-stick since Garrus was otherwise occupied. My one mistake was in choosing to take both Grunt and Garrus with me to final fight thinking I'd need all the extra firepower I could stack. That left too little strength to hold the line and nonloyal Jack (timing issues that prevented a paragade from keeping the loyalty of both Jack and Miranda after their confrontation) paid the price. Oh well, I won't really miss her although I might in ME3 for ending purposes.
After metagaming, I managed to figure out how avoid losing even unloyal members by leaving enough beatsticks behind to hold the line, so my canon save is the only one down a crew member.
However, the tl;dr version is that the suicide mission isn't that tough even the first time around if you take your time and pay attention to what the game tells you to do.

I became emotionally attached to these games and played trough them so many times i have lost count,
Playing trough Me1 and transfering over to ME2 and playing trough that, trying out all diffrent kind of choices and paths. So i have tons of save games to try out in ME3, wich will have me busy for a good few months
Tho i wont be able to play ME3 before April....Q.....Q :3

Pretty much this. The supposed "ultimate" good ending sounds especially...re****...unsatisfying. No happily ever after and blue kids for space jesus, I guess.AgitatedLemon wrote...

While I applaud Bioware for making us pick some legitimately tough choices for once...
I despise how, even though it's wildly unrealistic given the circumstances, there is zero chance for a legitimate happy ending.

Well...there is certainly the possibility of melodrama and tough choices which could orchestrate one final grand ending for the Mass Effect saga (...or they'll just pull a Benezia-like super cheese fest at the end...who knows). Just like you I'm just disappointed that -at least in the leak- there was no real, true happy ending for Shep.AgitatedLemon wrote...

Are the different endings dependent on choices you have made throughout the game (and trilogy), or do they just depend on a final decision you make near the end? (No specific/detailed spoilers please, just want to know if it's one or the other)

i never said it wasnt easy, but you prove the statement has an element of truth, you failed to gain 100% loyalty and lost a squad member, you even dither over Zaeed, which would have got him killed
there is a perfect order for when to do certain missions, do these wrong and saving everyone becomes impossible

We don't know. The script is incredibly vague on the endings. All we have are a general idea of what each ending entails, not who specifically will live/die or even how they truly affect Shepard.Kings19 wrote...

Not that I'd only ever play for the happy ending either, but I want at least SOME of my Shepards to get to shack up with their LI and live happily ever after.

I too hope there is a way to get at least a mostly happy ending. Why? Because I just want one. I understand it's probably not really realistic, but I'm not playing video games for realism. I'm playing them for fun and that fun is, to me anyhow, somewhat diminished if there's no way for me to have a happy ending no matter how hard I try.

Well -as has been said- it's not 100% clear...but no. No, past choices don't influence the available endings at large. They might play a part in some permutations (who's alive ?, what's your readiness level ?) but not in a general sense.Kings19 wrote...
