are you going to buy ME3, if the answer is yes, then they don't have to care, you're buying their product anyway, if you're not, they still don't care b/c they'll make enough of a profit from console gamers

they don't owe you anything, they don't owe console players anything, they make a product we buy it, that's it

If he has enough time to post and sticky a pointless thread to tell us to start out as a default shep in ME3 so that our canon playthoygh can seem "special"(in which that tread decened to a conspericy theroy therad about "choices" not having any impact) , he has enough time to anwser threads and PMs.Don't give him excuses.

In the end it's probably not even in the hands of EA's rpg division (bioware) even though they can suggest it, It is ultimately in the hands of the people who controls the finances - will they pony up the extra funds for a tex pack?

Those guys gotta do a calculation between potential extra sales from HD graphics and time/money spend implementing such a feature.

This is all something that has rather little to do with Chris Priestley - though I'm sure he has relayed the general wish of such a feature to those who make the decision already since that is his job.

I'm a PC user, and crap like what you just said makes me hate my fellow (elitist) PC users. Do you see me with my 16 GB RAM and two HD 6990s complaining about how console users have ruined my life/my games/everything in the universe? No, you don't. Congrats though, because you too are now contributing in turning this into the umpteenth console-war thread, which will likely mean an eventual shutdown of the thread if it keeps going and yet another non-response from anyone official. Good job!

You're right, the console gamers call the shots nowadays, and that's why I'm so worried about their lack of aspirations.

I think you're wrong thinking that they don't care about losing potential buyers.

Well I guess I should be glad that I never got texmod to work with my copy of ME2, so that ME3's textures look OK to me.

I did find the armor/uniform worn by Shepard in the opening level to be rather ugly and annoying...did the Alliance suffer a budget crisis and reverted to animal hides for their uniforms?

well they always want more customers but companies always project profit numbers, and if they hit near what they want, they're usually ok

and i wouldn't say console games "call the shots", with games like ME which are cross platform, they will always appeal to the larger fan-base, games like WoW or Starcraft will always be designed for PCs

Halo Wars and C&C tried to make it on console but failed, but shooters like ME or Halo, etc, etc sell better on console, so dev time will always be put torwards consoles

Console trolls need to hijack this thread and turn it into a flame war. ****ing ignorants it's always the same story over and over again, I even stated that I'm a console gamer myself, asking for some quality in my games does not make me a PC Elitist it just makes me want a better product. If you console fanboys are used to mediocrity that is fine by me, but don't come into our threads bashing everything. Other developers do it all the time they give their fans high resolution textures and other PC goodness. That is how you get people to buy your product not by handing them over a half assed port and not caring about the PC community. Oh and of course they blame everything on piracy because apparently it's non existent on consoles.

People like Abirn actually make me feel like I should apologize on behalf of those of us PC users who do not have our heads shoved up our <fill-in-the-blank>. Just like other PC users, I want the option to have high-res textures, and I believe it will happen (eventually). I just think that the others don't have to be pointlessly rude in asking for info and that they could do with showing a modicum of patience (like waiting to rant if it turns out that we don't end up having a separate high-res pack).
