I don't geth this at all. It has been said by BW there that the demo contains graphics code from January 2011, so one year old graphics. I think that it would be revamped for the actual release.
Also, isn't the game runing on Unreal Engine 3 now? It can handle DX11 or very advanced graphic technics, as tesselation. So if they really wanted to make a PC graphics, they would essentialy only have to find a way how to enable those things. Most of modern PCs can "force" some of those options via their GPU drivers.
Honestly, even thought consoles ARE holding the PC gaming back in terms of hardware, it is true that a lot of PCs out there are on the level of xBox360 or even lower hardware-wise. So the developers actualy can't streamline down every possible combination and make settings for it. Surely, the PC versions of ME1-2 had the config tool that had a lot of options already. And I think that addiding more options like "Tesselation ON/OFF" or "Version of DirectX implementation used", might be added. But it would of course push the date a few weeks back and so make PC gamers (or all gamers, if the products gets pushed in all platforms) angry again. In my opinion, there is no win-win situation here...
Of course, there is an option that they are doing all this already, are not replying because they don't see it necessary due to those packs/options being coded right now and we are just being paranoid.

Is not just us, the PS3 version has horrible framerates, they play the demo at 20 fps LOL!
And then bioware says, we're developing the game separately for each platform.

Technical issues should be discussed in the appropriate Tech Support forum. Messages to Chris Priestly should be sent directly to him via PM.
End of line.
