Has it occurred to anyone that host migration might not be in the demo? It's a DEMO. This isn't the full game. Some features might have been left out to decrease file size.

I've been disconnected dozens of times, by all estimates I've missed out on thousands of credits and xp. Only once has host migration worked for me and what happened is that *everyone* else in the game got disconnected leaving me alone at wave 8.

I'll restate this again; please take a serious look at how you're handling the netcode with this game. The gameplay is some of the most fun I've ever played but if I can only finish one out of ever four matches I'll not be playing it for very long.

I've played three matches that ended up in disconnects (PC), and so my character still has no credits or xp. Ah well. I did get the experience of testing MP out, and I'm looking forward to playing more later on!

Twice now I've gotten to extraction in silver with about 40,000 points 15,000 credits or some such and then had the game kick me or fail host migration etc - I was too dumb struck to take notice.

Fortunately - since its the demo I'm going to lose it all anyway - but heres hoping there is some fix for disconnects in the full release.

There's also an enormous problem with disconnection for people like msyelf who have slightly unstable connections. The timeout limit is rediculous, it seems if I lagspike for more than 5 seconds at any given time I WILL get disconnected. This happens literally nowehre else, and I lose all of my XP and credits in the process.

Host migration "migrates" me into a solo run of the same wave.

Hmmm I usually get migrated to the lobby, but when we start the game it'll be on the same wave.

Host migration is a 50/50 proposition for me....

in-game, it will restart the wave 50% of the time but other times I get kicked to the lobby.
Strangely, if I'm in the lobby, and the leader drops, it always picks somebody else as leader...

If that's the intention; okay cool.

But that hasn't happened so far for me.

Whenever it does; the game ends immediately.

Migration has never worked for me, on the PC version.

Which is why I usually host games instead of join others, I know I won't quit half way through.

host mitigation always works for me, kinda sucks at the end of wave 10 tough since you have to redo the whole wave minus one player

as for in lobbies, it works, just don't click exit as soon as it pops up but wait for the mitigation to work

(pc player)

Host migration works when someone else hosts the game when we are in the lobby. When I create a game and I leave the lobby, it exits for everyone. Strange :\\

It has worked for me,  you will just restart the wave you were working on when the host left. Just be sure not to hit the "B" key while waiting to reconnect or you will exit the co-op, then no monies for you.

I have seen host migration fail a couple times when I was playing, but there is also that thing that kicks you mid game saying you have lost connection to the servers... i want my money and xp -_-

It is in the demo. I've experienced it a few times.

This has been my experience. It has, on less than five occasions for me, reset the round and kept the remaining players in the game. Usually however the results are one of the following:

1) Wave resets and I go back to the spawn point alone--all other players gone. Wave proceeds as normal. By myself.

2) Game kicks me back to a lobby, by myself.

3) Game goes to endless load screen from which I have to ALT-Tab, then open task manager and kill the process. Otherwise it just hangs on "loading" for over five minutes which is the longest I've let it run.

Edit: I don't know if this may be a router/firewall issue. I have no problem being the "leader" on quick matches at other times. My router is set to UPNP with the assumption the game can manage the networking tasks on its own.

To me, host migration works in-game, but not in lobbies (I just get disconnected).

Playing on PC.

That's exactly right for XBox, too. In game, no problem. But in the lobbies everyone drops out :(

Host migration in a PUBLIC match for me on my PC is at best a very iffy proposition. Normally it just fails and I am back outside the map having to search for a new game. Only occasionally does it actually reset the wave and even when it has the match has never completed as there seems to be a cascade effect and the other players drop out (whether they ragequit, suffered a problem with a network connection during migration or something else I dont know). Certainly this is something that needs to be looked at though I suspect the main problem is the EA servers.

It's in there, it just doesn't work very well. Rather, it seems to work for a few, and not for most.
