I'm making a final Fail!Shepard playthrough, purposly stacking the odds against myself.

I also want character interactions to be dramatic though. In ME one i'm planing to flirt with Liara, Romance Kaiden, sacrifice Ash. I was originally going to romance Liara and sacrifice Kaiden, but that would have removed a potential element of drama in later games. 

Then in ME2, I want to romance... anyone, really, with the intention that they die in the suicide mission. However, i'm concerned that with them dead, they may be no 'cheating' confrontation in ME3 with the ME1 LI.

I need opinions. How can I mess up the most? If I DO choose Liara, I can still have the ME1 triangle and sacrifice Kaiden, and then in ME2 do the LotSB before the Omega Relay and basically cheat on Liara after rekindling the romance.

I'm conflicted on how best to muck up Shepards personal life, even as I ruin the galaxy.

If you're hoping for some love triangle confrontations, you're out of luck. It ain't happening. There's a line or two of dialogue at most. But other than that, everyone's pretty "meh" on the issue.

Thanks, yeah, I think I will go with Kaiden. I don't actually have a save with that relationship anyway, so I suppose I should.
