well after buying a veteran pack it unlocked the krogan and after i finished levelling it up i went to try it out, apparantly the melee attack is chuck norris compressed into the krogans fist because ive been able to kill phantoms at full health and i have even killed 2 atlases with melee only

That's the point of playing a krogan, you can absolute devastate at close range, but you expose yourself to the enemies and you can't roll.

Didn't you know? Chuck Norris doesn't have a chin. He just has a Krogan underneath his beard.

True story.

Anyway...I think the deal with the Krogan Soldier is the same as the Vanguard, really. Very good when played properly but if you over-extend yourself? Yo'gonna DIE!

That said, I can take down Phantoms in melee range as a Vanguard easily...but Atlas Mechs with melee? Never tried.........not sure I want too.

Honestly, after I unlocked the Krogan Soldier I didn't touch anything else. I get in trouble sometimes because I just love meleeing things too much xD Nevermind Carnage is so sickeningly strong plus the gibs!

Yeah I have killed phantoms, three atlases and a ton of turrets with my krogan just at level 8. Yet I do die a lot more times yet the normal people I play with understand why and they don't need to worry about anything major getting to them.

It's a co-op game. Nothing in that kind of mode is OP.

I can never hear people in voice-chat when playing the Krogan because he yells and laughs (cackles?) too much.

I love it though.

Have you gotten in a blood rage before? Like when the screen turns all whitish? You can just about kill everything in one hit when in a blood rage.

It's OPness fades pretty quickly in Silver and Gold. You see in Bronze the Krogan can pretty much solo all 10 waves, because Blood Rage is like god mode when the enemies are weak and stupid.

However in Silver and Gold, enemies are not weak and stupid. If you go charging into a horde of soldiers, you are just gonna get ate up. You got to be smart, flank enemies, actually use your gun, and only go out in the open with full health and blood rage.

Seriously it took me awhile before I realized that in Silver, I could only do what I do in Bronze with Fort and Blood Rage up at the same time, and that was only so long as I killed enemies quickly.

You can't miss charges, and you can't stay out of cover the entire match.

So basically for Bronze, act like Grunt. Silver and Gold, act like Wrex.

and don't forget to headbut other krogan in the team in between waves. always a lot of fun. i remember joining a match with 2 krogan sentinels and 2 krogan soldiers on bronze (very relaxed). that's what we'd do in between waves. i still get a chuckle everytime i think about it. lol

Except that moment of lag where you were sure you hit the phantom dead straight but somehow went through her and by the time you recover you get insta killed :(

Nope not at all.  Try running around meleeing on silver/gold.  You'll die in seconds.

When i play silver with a krogan on my team, my QI turns into an ambulance following that krogan and picking off strays (and those pesky turrets).

A krogan on bronze is an unstoppable force. On silver upwards, a good krogan is an unstoppable force. A bad one is a drain on the team, needing constant revives. Had one in a silver game playing like it was a bronze. He died, we revived him and he rushed off to the other side of the map to go and die, over and over again.

Krogan Melee:
Bronze: Fantastic. Play entire rounds with just melee and top the scoreboard. God Mode.
Silver: A handy perk. Wanna play the entire round with just melee? Better hope you got an infiltrator friend to medic you.
Gold: lol. Wait, you're serious? Let me laugh even harder now...

Guessing that you were playing on Bronze OP. Otherwise you wouldn't think krogan melee was overpowered.
